How do Seattle Mariners fans watch games in 2026? The team shared new info

Seattle Mariners fans have to watch games differently in 2026.

Gone is Root Sports. In its place is a web of uncertainty for fans.

It used to be easier to watch Mariners games. Even with new streaming options, fans knew where to turn to watch games almost every night.

But as the 2026 MLB season approaches, many fans still have questions about what comes next.

How do Seattle Mariners fans watch games in 2026?

Nearly everyone has already seen the advertisements.

“Stream Mariners Baseball all season long! Watch our games with no local blackouts on Mariners.TV if you’re in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, Montana or Hawaii, plus British Columbia or Alberta, Canada,” reads the advertisement.

Streaming games is available on Mariners.TV online. It’s a $19.99 monthly fee, or a $99.99 price tag for the full season.

But what about fans who want to watch games without a streaming application?

The Seattle Mariners will also be available on cable

An update JUST came out today about the cable television coverage (March 25):

Mariners TV Provider Update:

*Comcast/Xfinity – Channel 1261

*Charter/Spectrum in the Seattle-Tacoma market – Channel 414

Other providers will be announced soon, and a full channel finder will be available tomorrow morning at [Mariners.com/Watch]

Previous statements:

“Mariners TV will also be available through traditional cable, satellite and internet TV providers, in addition to this standalone streaming option,” the Mariners have stated.

“MLB is handling negotiations with cable and satellite providers for 14 Clubs, including us. Historically, these negotiations conclude around the deadline, which is Opening Day. We expect Mariners Baseball to be distributed in places where fans have previously watched our games, and a full channel locator will be made available before our first game,” an announcement reads.

“TV will be available through traditional cable, satellite and internet TV providers. Specific providers will be announced closer to the start of the season,” the team stated in another fashion.

Many fans were still confused about why it is taking so long to reveal the new channel.

“While specific providers and channels will be announced closer to Opening Day, we expect Mariners Baseball to be distributed across providers where fans previously watched our games,” responded a representative for the team.

That’s not the clear-cut answer that many fans want, but it does indicate that everything should run smoothly later in March.

Mariners fans will have to be patient for the new channel

If you have a sports package that used to include Root Sports, the Mariners state that you will soon have access to a new dedicated channel for Mariners baseball.

The team has stated that there will be no additional fees or subscriptions if you still have those packages in place from the 2025 season.

The bad news is that we don’t yet know the new channel numbers. But at least the team has stated confidently that they should be in place for Opening Day.

So stay tuned. It should again be easy to watch Seattle Mariners baseball in 2026, but there is still work being done behind the scenes.

And yes, everyone is equally frustrated that concrete information hasn’t been released yet.

Hopefully if there is a new channel to watch there will be no blackouts like there is now from certain states such as Washington and so on. I miss seeing my Mariners that I use to watch and pay for with Root tv. Fubo said they were going to have it but got blackecd out from there too along with trying to sigh up with MLB paying $29.99 a month and still may not be able to watch and be out of the monies. I have already pald a months worth that was charged to my creidit card and still got blackouted out and lost money due to no refunds from Fubo. I am a avid fan and live on SS, I live 150 from Seattle so seeing in person is impossible. Hopefully before opening day it will be made for people like me to be able to watch. I at least got to watch some pre season games until I was blacked out with it and still had to pay and can’t get my monies back from Fubo. Thank you for the years I have been able to watch and hopefully will get to watch this year and years to come,

I’m so frustrated at all this bs! I retired 4 years ago to care for my late husband that past fron cancer. We were Mariners fan s for years and went to many games together in Seattle . I took my boys to the Kingdome! Who are now in their 40’s. It shouldn’t be this difficult (living in the state of Washington) to watch the boys play! Without paying a price! Am I the only one that feels this frustration?

Guess I won’t be watching. Already paying a fortune just to have tv. Not paying more.
