The Chicago Med season finale has nearly arrived.
NBC will soon wrap up Season 11 of its hit medical show.
Unfortunately, this season is a little shorter than last year.
Chicago Med Season 11 features 21 episodes. That leaves just a few more before the long winter hiatus.
Wednesday nights with the One Chicago shows
This year has featured Med Season 11, Fire Season 14, and P.D. Season 13. The shows still dominate their Wednesday night timeslots in the ratings.
Previous episodes from this year are available for streaming on Peacock.
Additionally, NBC has renewed its Wednesday night lineup.
Despite the summer hiatus quickly approaching, Chicago Med Season 12 arrives in the fall. That’s great news, but it also opens the door for cliffhangers this spring.
When is the Chicago Med season finale?
Below is the remaining schedule for Chicago Med episodes this season. The season concludes with four straight weeks of new content.
Everything leads to the big Med season finale on Wednesday, May 13.
Will Dr. Daniel Charles (played by Oliver Platt) survive the season? How will the arrival of a new baby go for the ED couple (Steven Weber as Dr. Dean Archer and Jessy Schram as Dr. Hannah Asher)?
There’s more drama coming this spring, likely to include a health update on Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos). Will she finally come clean with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) about her diagnosis?

- April 15: Repeat Episode
- April 22: Episode 18 (TBD)
- April 29: Episode 19 (TBD)

Is Dr. Charles going to die on Chicago Med?
Many fans have become worried about Dr. Charles- especially after that April 1 episode. Actor Oliver Platt spoke about it.
“When [fans] are in that deep emotionally, it’s a cathartic experience,” Platt told NBC Insider. “And that’s ultimately what I want, for people to laugh and cry when they see these episodes. I want them to be moved.”
“I want them to be anxious. And I want them to be scared for his life. I like to torture the audience,” Med showrunner Allen MacDonald said about Dr. Charles’ fate.
As a reminder, Dr. Charles collapsed at the end of the April 1 episode (the Book of Charles). He will also be an important part of the April 8 episode (Altered States). Will he survive the season? Tune in to find out.
