Big Brother 28 rumors reveal some interesting news. It seems that someone was replaced on the BB28 cast.
Yash Patel is the new houseguest. The finance analyst from New Jersey was presumably an alternate until the last minute.
CBS and Paramount+ have been silent on the matter thus far, but we could get an explanation after the season premiere.
As a reminder, the BB28 season premiere is on Thursday, July 9 at 8/7c on CBS. But the game has already begun. The players entered the house on Tuesday, July 7.
Thus far, 14 members of the BB28 cast have been revealed. But host Julie Chen Moonves teased that more people were coming. She was right.
Later, we learned that three more reality TV stars would be joining the show. And they are all from reality TV, including a former BB26 houseguest.
Rumors of a replaced houseguest on the Big Brother 28 cast
Levi Banks was a prospective houseguest for Big Brother 28. That’s what the rumors state. For an unknown reason (so far), he left sequester at the hotel.
Was it his choice to leave? Did he break a production rule? All of that is still unclear. Instead, Yash has taken his place. Moving from alternate to full-fledged cast member is a big deal. An example from the past was when Claire Rehfuss got to play on BB23 after replacing someone.
The replacement was very late in the process. So it means Levi’s cast photo is out there.
As previously reported by Tea on TV, a social media leak teased the first letter of each player’s first name. Yes, an “L” was in the mix.
“Apparently this was the “L” who got dropped. His name is Levi and was replaced with Yash. #BB28,” reads a social media post about Levi.
The sentiment was echoed by more posts.
“It looks like someone got replaced from the cast last minute! He’s no longer on the season. #BB28,” wrote someone else.
Some BB alums are very curious about the details.
“Why was Levi removed from the house and Yash put in as an alternate? Where my BB sleuths at?!?#BB28,” wrote Big Brother legend Janelle Pierzina.
