A huge vote flip hit Big Brother 28 and outgoing Head of Household Haley Thogmartin.
Haley was convinced that Melody was going home. After failing to get Taylor out, she was content to settle for Melody.
But that’s not what happened. Instead, the Paw Patrol episode sent Lyric home. And that’s when the drama really began.
As viewers saw at the end of the August 6 episode, Haley was in shock about the 8-3 vote. What happened? She was convinced that Melody was done in an easy eviction.
This also followed Drew winning safety, despite Haley’s belief that he was the primary target. But he wasn’t. And the house was about to blindside her.
Late into the night, even after a new HOH was crowned, people tried to convince Haley that they voted to evict Melody. But half of them were lying. She didn’t know which ones.
Six people claim to have voted to evict Melody on Big Brother 28
Kamu, Chuk, Angela, Dee, Devens, and Yash all said they voted to evict Melody. In reality, only Kamu, Chuk, and Yash voted in that fashion. The reality TV icons went against Lyric. The feeling was that they needed to keep Melody around so that she could take shots at Haley and Kamu.
Let the gaslighting begin, even as the stories of the six people shift.
Angela suggested Lyric got a penalty vote for breaking house rules.
Dee fed into Haley’s thoughts that a power in the house may have flipped the vote (it didn’t).
Later, Haley also suggested that people got flustered in the Diary Room and said the wrong names.
Meanwhile, Melody was having fun with the house phone. She was really excited about what had just happened.
And here’s Devens talking about the “surprise” vote from earlier in the night. He has assured Haley numerous times that he thought the plans had changed (he didn’t, and they didn’t).
Haley believed that Chuk, Dee, and Angela voted to evict Melody. She even told Kamu that post-eviction. He tried to defend himself, but a possible wedge has now developed. It’s something to keep an eye on.
