A new episode of Big Brother: Unlocked aired on Friday night. This was the night after Lyric was sent home.
The Lyric eviction was shocking for Haley, Kamu, Chuk, and Yash. In their minds, Melody was going home.
But the reality TV icons flipped the script. Melody was saved, and Lyric was voted out.
Later that night, everyone aligned with Haley tried to defend the vote and/or gaslight her about it.
Big Brother: Unlocked episode recap from August 7
The new Unlocked episode summarized Week 4 action. Haley’s HOH was shown, Taylor was shown winning the Power of Veto, and Drew was shown winning the BB Blockbuster.
Footage following Lyric’s eviction kicked off the episode. The narrator spoke about revealing who entered the Time Capsule next, how BB19 winner Josh Martinez was in the studio, and teased footage of the Week 5 HOH Competition.
Haley had the first Diary Room session. She spoke about not knowing where her alliance stood. Chuk spoke of his confusion, but didn’t know who to believe. Dee, Angela, Chuk, Yash, and Kamu all stated that they voted to evict Melody. But Dee and Angela actually voted to evict Lyric.
Melody and Drew got to celebrate surviving. Drew spoke about his huge challenge win.
Later, Jerry O’Connell, Derrick Levasseur, and Taylor Hale broke down what happened. They enjoyed the blindside and Haley’s expressions.
A Big Brother winner joins the panel
Josh Martinez from Big Brother 19 and The Challenge joined them. Josh said he loves the chaos. He was also excited to see footage of the Wall Competition.
Past footage of Dee and Devens revealed them busting up the Red Corner. They went to convince Angela, and a plan to save Drew took over.
Derrick thought this wasn’t necessary for the long game. Josh was excited.
Footage of Angela asking Haley if she likes Kamu. She clearly does.
Past houseguests return from BB28
Jason and Lyric returned to the stage and spoke about what has been happening.
We also got a segment with the Rick Devens family. Fellow Survivor legend Christian Hubicki had a feature. Christian hung out with the Devens kids and had fun while watching Big Brother footage.

Mallory won the BB28 Fan Vote this week. She gets to enter the Time Capsule. Information on it will hit the feeds, and it will be featured during the Sunday night episode.
