Big Brother 28 recap: ‘The icons are acting like spoiled brats’

Big Brother 28 debuted a new episode on Wednesday night.

CBS viewers could learn what happened with the Week 9 Power of Veto.

As a reminder, Barrett became the new Head of Household.

The icons tried to “throw Yash under the bus” and make him look bad over the BB Bribe. But it backfired.

Taylor became more anti-icons, and Barrett realized Dee had lied to him again.

Barrett nominated Dee, Devens, and Angela. And the episode ended as a huge argument broke out.

Big Brother 28, Episode 31 recap from September 9

Angela called Yash a liar again. Then she yelled at him again. Later, she told Yash she would never vote for him to win Big Brother. It’s a little early for the BB28 jury to turn bitter, but we’ve seen it coming for a while.

Drew asked Yash how he voted. Yash said he voted to evict La Trice, but Angela claimed he lied (she was wrong again) and said he tried to vote out Taylor. Angela also put it on her grandchildren that she was being honest.

Then, Drew lied and said that Yash told him he was voting out Taylor.

Melody laughed about it in a Diary Room session. She was the rogue vote against Taylor, but people love blaming each other.

This mess set up a situation where Yash wanted Angela immediately evicted. Angela made a critical game error by trying to push the fake vote story.

Meanwhile, Barrett was pleased with his choices after he saw what happened as the three icons defended each other at the Nomination Ceremony.

Dee said Barrett was “hiding” with his noms, even after she took out Barrett’s ally (Mallory).

As expected, the icons had many negative things to say about Barrett, which he saw coming, hence the bold nominations.

“The icons are acting like spoiled brats,” Barrett said in the Diary Room. He was right. The trio kept pouting about being on the block.

Later, Yash came clean to Taylor.

The most important Veto Competition of the season

Yash told Barrett he wanted to compete for the Power of Veto. Barrett was considering it if he got the chance.

Meanwhile, the icons met and talked about how they would make life miserable for everyone else, especially Barrett.

Barrett got to choose a player, and he picked Yash. Drew was very upset with him.

Angela also got to pick a player, and she went with Taylor. Drew was upset again.

In a throwaway segment, the producers showed the moment when Taylor stole Drew’s hairbrush. But they hid most of what REALLY happened.

Here’s a link to the video and fan reaction from when Taylor stole the hairbrush (it happened weeks ago).

Back at the Veto Competition, it was time for BB Comics.

Dee, Devens, Angela, Taylor, Barrett, and Yash competed for the Power of Veto.

Yash won the Power of Veto. He beat Devens by 26 seconds.

Devens later went to Yash to try and convince him to use the Power of Veto on him.

A new Big Brother alliance?

A Cease Fire alliance formed. It features all the non-icons. But in Diary Room moments, Drew and Yash each said they had no intention of honoring it.

What happened at the Veto Ceremony?

Yash did not use the Power of Veto.

The final nominees for the week are Devens, Dee, and Angela. An icon is heading to the BB28 jury on Thursday night.

More tea from Big Brother and elsewhere

A Big Brother houseguest went in for a kiss and got rejected. It has been a hotly discussed topic on social media.

The stipends for the BB28 icons reportedly leaked. Do the icons deserve more money than the other houseguests?

A Survivor 51 trailer was just released. We get a new long look at the beginning of Survivor’s Open Era.

A Big Brother winner is on the new season of The Floor. The hit FOX competition show will also feature champions from other reality TV competitions.
