The Challenge’s Ashley Mitchell Claps Back at Johnny Bananas for Villains Dig

The Challenge has brought forth all sorts of villainous characters over its 40-plus seasons, due to backstabbing, betrayals, and surprising twists.

Many fans would agree that Johnny Bananas and Ashley “Millionaire” Mitchell are both infamous, due to their use of a coldhearted twist to leave their teammates penniless after winning a final.

Bananas did that in Rivals III to Sarah Rice, while Ashley followed in his footsteps when she did it to Hunter Barfield in Final Reckoning.

Fast forward to Season 41, aka Vets and New Threats, and Bananas and Ashley are now castmates once again.

Not only that, they’ll now share another reality television show in common, beyond The Challenge and Real World.

Bananas was the first Challenge star to appear in E! ‘s reality show, House of Villains, which debuted several years ago. Ashley is now joining the latest season.

Ashley to appear in another reality TV show

This weekend, Millionaire Mitchell updated fans with some photos and videos revealing her upcoming appearance on House of Villains.

The various clips feature a filming crew seemingly capturing footage of Ashley for promotional material on the show.

She’s dressed in a fancy long black dress with sparkly silver at the top. A guy starts dropping a bunch of money on her, likely to play up her “Millionaire” nickname from The Challenge.

In another clip, Ashley’s wearing a white shirt and green skirt. She leans over a green shrub and has several gold medals around her neck, which she shows and waves to the camera.

A humorous spot features her fanning herself with a wad of bills and walking towards the camera with confidence. At one point, she trips and falls out of her heels to the ground. However, she stands back up, adjusts her dress, and continues walking forward.

“Found some place to call home,” she wrote in her IG post’s caption.

“I was made for @ehouseofvillains,” she also wrote.

Ashley will appear in Season 3 of E!’s show and is the third MTV star to appear on the show. In addition to Bananas on Season 1, Wes Bergmann appeared in Season 2.

Bananas and Wes both reached the show’s final, and both lost in the end, but for different reasons. Ashley is hoping to fare better with her appearance.

Ashley fired back at Bananas’ Villains dig

In the comment section, Ashley received support from fans and fellow cast members. Some of those who dropped by to show love included Blue Kim, Nany Gonzalez, Darrell Taylor, Aviv Melmed, Michele Fitzgerald, and Marie Rhoda.

“YOU DESERVE IT ALL,” Blue Kim commented.

“Okay 💅👑😂,” Darrell said, while Nany wrote, “SMASHHHHHH🔥❤️❤️❤️.”

“Yessssss queen 😍😍 Omg soooo excited for this!! 🔥🔥🔥” Amber Borzotra wrote.

“You deserved this and so much more!! Can’t wait to watch you cause havoc 😈😍,” Nurys Mateo commented.

Ashley’s Season 41 castmate Johnny Bananas also chimed in with a comment that may have irritated the two-time winner due to how she got on the show.

“You were made for this show 🤣,” Bananas wrote, and Ashley fired right back.

“Is this supposed to be mean? Bc i don’t get it,” she replied.

“anyways thanks to mark long and Wes for putting in contact with the producers. Thanks for not responding to my text after I got booked b,” Ashley wrote in another reply.

Based on that exchange, she received help from castmates to get on the show, which could be why Bananas made the remark he did.

As mentioned, he was the first of The Challenge stars to go on House and Villains, and The Traitors, seemingly opening the door for others to follow in his footsteps. Since those early Bananas appearances, The Challenge’s Wes, CT Tamburello, and Trishelle Cannatella have also appeared on Traitors.

It made sense for Ashley to participate in one of those shows or both based on her history, so it will be interesting to see how she performs on Season 41 and in her appearance on Villains.

The Challenge: Vets and New Threats airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
