The Challenge spoilers: Johnny Bananas calls out castmates after Season 41 surprise

Johnny Bananas made it abundantly clear how he felt about his Season 41 castmates on The Challenge.

The newest season, Vets and New Threats, is Bananas’ 23rd appearance in MTV’s flagship competition series.

He entered the game with an immediate target on his back due to his previous feuds and his status as the winningest player in the game.

Olivia Kaiser was one of the individuals who seemed determined to do what she could to eliminate the seven-time champion.

She was able to sway the vote towards Bananas and his rookie teammate, America Lopez, in Episode 3.

The former Real World star dodged a bullet when America didn’t have to compete in the elimination against an injured Nia Moore, allowing them to return to the group.

However, after Episode 4, fans reacted to a surprising situation that occurred on their screens. Be forewarned, spoilers appear in this article from the latest episode.

The Challenge star faced a tough task in Season 41

MTV’s new episode aired on Wednesday, August 20th. The daily challenge featured pairs racing through a maze of shipping containers to find and solve Sudoku puzzles.

Once they solved their large puzzle correctly, they had to find their way back out of the maze quickly.

In the end, Chris “CT” Tamburello and his teammate, Adrienne Naylor, were one of the quickest teams to complete the daily challenge.

However, rookie Ben Davis and vet Michaela Bradshaw were a bit faster. With the win, they gained safety from elimination and power to nominate someone for elimination.

In a surprising moment, host TJ Lavin announced that Johnny Bananas and rookie Leka Sodade finished last among all competitors.

Due to that, Bananas automatically went into the elimination. Rookie Gabe Wai was already the Hangnail and made for an easy vote amongst the cast to pit against Bananas.

Later, Bananas gave it his all in the Hold’ Em Back elimination event against a former football player and WWE tryout. Despite Bananas’ best attempts to persevere, Gabe’s speed and power were undeniable as he defeated the older vet.

Bananas called out castmates after Episode 4

Taking to social media after the episode, Bananas shared an Instagram carousel post featuring shirtless selfies and a statement about his elimination.

“Banished from the house, but squatting RENT FREE in their thoughts forever 🍌🏡 #IamTheChallenge #bananasvseverybody #thechallenge41,” he wrote in his Instagram post’s caption.

Fans also reacted to seeing one of The Challenge’s GOATs eliminated this early from a season.

“What reason do I have to watch now?! 😢🔥,” someone commented.

Another individual wrote, “It’s not even a show without you.”

“I’m done watching now 😑,” a disappointed fan commented.

“My mom FaceTimed me because she couldn’t watch you battle on her on her own. I didn’t have crying tonight scheduled! 😢,” another fan wrote.

Early in the season, Bananas sparked another showmance with a rookie castmate. He and Survivor winner Dee Valladares, whom he met before the season, enjoyed each other’s company throughout filming.

“Farewell my lil Sudoku king,” his showmance wrote in a comment.

While Dee said she was disappointed to see a “good kisser” leave in Episode 4, she also admitted she could focus more on her game without worrying about being targeted.

Based on early fan reactions, the show isn’t the same without Bananas on-screen. However, there are still a handful of entertaining and talented cast members remaining to compete for the grand prize.

The Challenge: Vets and New Threats airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
