NeNe Leakes admits what she loved most about being on Real Housewives of Atlanta

Let’s keep it real, NeNe Leakes is the one Real Housewives of Atlanta star that longtime viewers would love to see return.

It won’t happen because of the bad blood between NeNe and Andy Cohen, topped by the claims she made and legal action she took against the network — but it would be epic if she did.

So, for now, the best we can expect is a reunion between NeNe and Cynthia Bailey on the former RHOA star’s new talk show, The NeNe Leakes Show, which debuted on YouTube in March.

Episode 5, featuring Cynthia Bailey, dropped this week. It was a fun chat between the reality TV icons that lasted just over an hour.

NeNe and Cynthia are clearly on good terms, at least for now, and NeNe was quick to give the supermodel her props, even calling her the “shadiest” RHOA star of all time, while also sharing how Cynthia’s shade is “slick” and doing it in the nicest way possible.

Cynthia paid NeNe back with compliments, though less shady than NeNe’s, when she admitted that NeNe was RHOA’s “breakout star.”

NeNe Leakes made it clear that she loves the money!

While NeNe and Cynthia were chatting it up about the old days of the Real Housewives of Atlanta,and they covered it all.

NeNe and Cynthia even talked about the notorious friendship contract and how that came about. They had a laugh about Kenya Moore’s “Gone with the Wind fabulous” era.

They broke down how Cynthia and Phaedra joined the cast at the same time and they weren’t even both originally supposed to stay. They explained that both were being tested to see which one worked best but then, Cynthia and Phaedra both got their peach and stayed on the show for several seasons.

Cynthia’s appearance on NeNe’s show was a nostalgic walk down memory lane that all OG Real Housewives of Atlanta fans need to see.

But when it comes to what NeNe Leakes liked most about her time on the Bravo superhit, it wasn’t the friendships or the memories babe, it was the money!

NeNe said so herself when she confessed to Cynthia, “The thing I loved the most about being on the show was… the check!”

She continued, “The trips, the platform…”

Being on The Real Housewives of Atlanta did boost NeNe into a level of stardom that most reality TV stars never achieve. After all, she is a household name, honey!

Cynthia isn’t the first RHOA star to make an appearance on The NeNe Leakes Show. In fact, NeNe started out with Carlos King, who was the original showrunner for the Bravo hit.

Then she talked to DeShawn Snow for Episode 4 before settling in for her epic Episode 5 with Cynthia Bailey.

Sure, she sprinkled in some other big names from the Atlanta scene like LaTocha Scott from Xscape fame. Episode 3 saw Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole and bodybuilder, Rahki Giovanni.

But we can be sure that NeNe will be chatting it up with her old RHOA castmates and dishing out oven more piping hot behind-the-scenes tea.
