A Big Brother 26 showmance has ended. Makensy Manbeck and Matt Hardeman are no longer a couple.
Many Big Brother fans thought this might be the case when Matt crashed out on Instagram earlier this week. Now, the news has been confirmed by Makensy in a new post.
For anyone struggling to place the couple, Makensy was the Big Brother 26 runner-up. She finished in second place to Chelsie Baham.
Matt was the first person sent home on BB26 after several dust-ups with the first Head of Household, Angela Murray.
The duo began dating shortly after the season ended and had been together until recently.

Makensy used her Instagram Stories to explain her relationship status with Matt.
“I want to be very open with y’all, just as I’ve been over the past year while sharing my life. Matt and I are no longer together. And I want to make it 100% clear, no one cheated. We are normal people who spent great time together that sadly come to an end,” she began her post.
“I love Matt very much, and I still do. He is a big part of my life. I am truly grateful that God crossed our paths, even if it wasn’t for forever. I know many of you were invested in us, and I can’t thank you enough for your support through the past year,” Makensy continued.
“All I ask moving forward is that you continue to support and please be kind. I loved him and our relationship deeply, and this will be a long road of healing for me. I will do my best to stay present with y’all though it all though. Thank you for understanding and for always supporting me. Love y’all,” the note ended.
The former couple will likely address fans more about their relationship ending in the future, but for now, Makensy is back to work.
For fans who want to revisit the season featuring Makensy and Matt as players, all Big Brother 26 episodes are streaming on Paramount+.
