Is Parvati Shallow a two-time Survivor winner? Jeff Probst weighs in

Survivor 31 winner Jeremy Collins has caused some controversy with his recent comments about fellow winner Parvati Shallow. Now, host Jeff Probst has weighed in.

Parvati, who was already a Sole Survivor on the USA version of the show, recently won a season of the Australian version. Many fans believe it made her a two-time winner, but not everyone is on board.

For comparison, when Parvati won Survivor 16, she played for 39 days in Micronesia. When she won Survivor Australia vs. The World, the game was only 16 days. There were also fewer people, with 14 castaways on the Australian version. But she still won.

Jeremy Collins comments on Parvati and Survivor

In his opinion, Jeremy Collins says that it’s “not the same game” and that Parvati only deserves credit for “one-and-a-half” wins. He says she is not a two-time winner and that Tony Vlachos and Sandra Diaz-Twine are the only people who get that title.

“I feel the need to speak up…this is my opinion on a valid question about Survivor and Survivor Australia. Much respect for the win…but it’s not the same,” Jeremy captioned a video he shared.

Below is where Jeremy explained his rationale for saying Parvati isn’t a two-time winner. Do you think he has a valid point, or is he reaching here?

Jeff Probst weighs in on Parvati being a two-time Survivor winner

A new episode of Jeff Probst’s On Fire podcast dove into the topic of two-time winners. It also gave Jeremy a chance to clarify his statement, where he says he doesn’t want to take anything away from Parvati, but he only counts her Australian adventure as “half a win” still.

Here’s the part that might disappoint some Survivor fans. While Jeff spoke about the controversy and Parvati’s success on the Australian spin-off, he didn’t share his opinion on whether or not Parvati is a two-time winner.

“Somehow, Jeremy’s answer, his own opinion as a player, got attributed to me. And that I’m the one who said that Parvati’s win doesn’t count. I didn’t say it,” Jeff stated during the podcast.

“I don’t even have an opinion, and if you think that was a leading question, and I was hoping Jeremy would answer that way, you don’t know me. I have opinions. I state them all the time. I often regret them later. But I don’t have an opinion on this,” Jeff elaborated.

Survivor Mount Rushmore revealed

Jeff probably made the smart move by staying out of the argument, but he still has high praise for Parvati.

On his Mt. Rushmore of Survivor players, Jeff has placed Sandra Diaz-Twine, Tony Vlachos, Parvati Shallow, and Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano. That’s pretty good company for Parvati, no matter how many wins she has.
