Chicago Fire actress Katelynn Shennett has finally returned.
For years, Katelynn has played Kylie Estevez on the hit show.
We haven’t seen her in a Season 14 episode yet, primarily because Kylie works at a different station.
After helping Chief Wallace Boden for years at Firehouse 51, Kylie took full advantage of the teachings of Stella Kidd to become a firefighter.
During Chicago Fire Season 12, we saw Kylie become trapped in a structure fire while working on Truck 46 for the other firehouse. Kidd and Derrick Gibson (who is now gone) ended up saving her.
When we last saw Kylie, she helped Christopher Herrmann on an investigation into a series of missing fire hydrants in Season 13. A salvage yard was putting Chicago at risk by working with thieves.
Ready for more Kylie on Chicago Fire?
Earlier in December, Katelynn shared her return to Chicago Fire on social media. It was a fun surprise for her fans and followers.
“The feeling when you’re back on set with all your friends,” Katelynn captioned an image of her in a trailer from the Chicago Fire set.
Later, Katelynn shared another post that read, “Till next time.”
It seemed that she was insinuating that she had a short return to the Chicago Fire cast. This isn’t too surprising, as budget cuts have forced the show to get innovative with its recurring cast and guest appearances. But at least we will get to see her as a guest star in an episode or two.
Recently, Katelynn also shared a fun video on Instagram about living in Chicago during the cold winter months.
“Catch me curled up inside by the fireplace for the next three months doing my best to romanticize winter with my cozy hobbies 📚🎮🧶🎨✍️,” she wrote.
We hope that her proximity to Chicago Fire filming locations means that we could see her in multiple Season 14 episodes on the back end.
