Big Brother 28 is on the way for this summer.
Potential members of the BB28 cast can already apply. Life-changing money is also on the line.
Host Julie Chen Moonves is slated to return, and hopefully, the producers have some good ideas for a theme.
Ashley Hollis won Big Brother 27 last summer. She beat Morgan Pope in the final Head of Household Competition and then won the BB27 jury vote over Vince Panaro.
Fans still debate about that ending. Recently, Ashley revealed why she blocked Morgan on social media. It continued a feud that likely began in the house.
But back to Big Brother 28, which should give fans a new group of players to cheer on.
When does Big Brother 28 begin?
CBS has not yet announced the official date for the season premiere of Big Brother 28. That announcement will come later this spring.
What we do know is that the brass likes to kick off the season right around the same dates each summer.
It’s easily possible for the first episode to fall on Wednesday, July 1. That would allow CBS to air episodes on July 1 and July 2 — before the Fourth of July weekend hits.
Depending on how many weeks there are in the season, starting on July 8 or July 9 would also make sense. But with the need to clear the summer docket for the fall shows, we at Tea on TV are going to guess a July 1 start date. It sure would be nice to get treated with a Wednesday, June 24 start date, though. We can dream.
What else do we know about Big Brother 28?
There isn’t much information to go on yet, but the producers are still accepting applications online. Live casting calls should come in late winter or early spring, along with an official announcement of the start date.
A $750,000 prize is on the line, and weekly episodes should still air on CBS. We also expect the Big Brother Live Feeds to continue on Paramount+.
Until the BB28 cast begins playing, previous seasons of Big Brother are streaming on Paramount+. That includes classic content from BB10, BB14, and BB23.
