Abbey Romeo is one half of one of our favorite couples from Love on the Spectrum.
The Netflix dating show that shows the lives and, more specifically, the love lives of several men and women living life on the autism spectrum has taken the world by storm.
The show’s fans can’t get enough of Love on the Spectrum, as it’s one of the sweetest and arguably the most authentic reality series to hit the streaming giant to date.
Abbey Romeo is one of the Netflix hit’s cast members. She has quickly become beloved by viewers as she showcases her romance with boyfriend David Isaacman.
And it turns out that Abbey is extremely talented! She has the vocal chops worthy of performing in front of an American Idol winner.
This week, that’s precisely what she did.
Abbey Romeo wows everyone on The Kelly Clarkson Show
There’s no denying that Abbey Romeo is quirky and cute… and very talented. The Love on the Spectrum star showed just how talented she is when she took the stage earlier this week to show off her song Boyfriend Forever.
The spectrum-friendly lyrics were perfectly on brand as she was clearly singing about David and just how much she cherishes their relationship.
The song itself is catchy and has a radio-worthy quality to it that makes us think that Abbey just might have another career down the road — when she’s done being a reality star, anyway.
Kelly Clarkson and her live audience were clearly impressed with Abbey’s talent. They even let out an audible sigh when Abbey admitted that she wrote the song for David because she wanted him to “be her boyfriend forever.”
The American Idol alum has been a huge fan of the Netflix series and regularly welcomes Love on the Spectrum stars to appear as guests on her show so it’s no big surprise that Abbey is the latest to appear and that she was able to perform her song on the show with the house band.
Could Abbey Romeo win an EMMY?
After Abbey Romeo made her big musical debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show, it was learned that she could be up for an EMMY for the performance.
Variety reported that Netflix has already submitted Boyfriend Forever for EMMY consideration. Abbey has busily been promoting her song since Season 3 of Love on the Spectrum debuted earlier this year and has appeared on all three seasons of the breakout hit.
The deadline for Emmy submissions is today, May 8, and now, we can wait to see if Abbey will be taking home a win for her catchy tune.
