Below Deck’s Fraser Olender sets the record straight on Chef Anthony Iracane’s Season 11 firing

Below Deck Season 12 has been one for the books, and we have barely scratched the surface of the drama.

The most recent episode featured leftover beef Chef Anthony Iracane had with Chief Stew Fraser Olender from Season 11.

Thanks to Barbie Pascual spreading rumors, Anthony thought Fraser was the reason he got fired last season.

Fraser and Anthony faced off over the rumor after Fraser denied playing a part in Anthony’s firing to Rainbeau de Roos.

The chief stew further defended himself in an interview with The Daily Dish.

Even though Below Deck fans saw Fraser get frustrated at Anthony’s accusations, he admitted that he worked hard not to be reactive during their confrontation.

Fraser feels he was doing his job by filling Captain Kerry Titheradge in on Anthon’s job performance last season.

“I think a lot of people are under the impression that I was the reason why Chef Anthony [was fired] last season. It’s my job as the chief stew to be the messenger to the captain, to why things aren’t going well, to why the guests are very unhappy and are not leaving us tips. And if I didn’t do that, would I really be a good chief stew? I don’t think so,” he shared with the outlet.

The chief stew explained that the captain asked him a direct question about Anthony as a chef. Fraser wasn’t about to lie to his boss for the sake of his friend after the guests’ experience had already suffered.

“I was asked a very honest question — ‘Is chef nailing it?’ — and the answer’s no. I’d like anyone to come up with any sort of evidence of that not being the case. but again, people will come for me regardless,” Fraser expressed.

Fraser Olender has a reminder for the haters

Despite earning some backlash over the Anthony situation, Fraser reminded Below Deck fans that he was the one who recommended to Captain Kerry that the chef return for Season 12.

“I did bring him back, because I know his passion, I know his skillset, I know he’s fantastic, and more importantly, we work phenomenally well with each other,” the chief stew shared with The Daily Dish.

What Fraser didn’t know when he brought Anthony back was that the chef had an issue with him. In fact, the chief stew thought they were all good.

“I didn’t know coming in that Anthony was having these feelings towards me, but at the end of the day, that’s all personal, and I’m here to do a job. And if he’s not, keep that stuff at the door,” Fraser spilled.

Something tells us that this isn’t the last we are going to hear about Anthony believing Fraser was the one who got him fired on Below Deck Season 11.
