It’s bad news for one of the Big Brother 26 showmances.
Tucker Des Lauriers and Rubina Bernabe struck up an early relationship in the Big Brother house last summer.
While there was romance between Tucker and Rubina, they tried to keep it a secret.
The secret came out later when Tucker used it to his advantage during a twist.
When the BB26 season concluded, the duo took their showmance to the real world.
Tucker and Rubina left Big Brother together
A quick reminder about what happened on Big Brother 26.
Tucker got blindsided before the jury phase and got sent home early.
Rubina made it to the final four but got cut by the trio of Chelsie Baham, Makensy Manbeck, and Cam Sullivan-Brown.
Later, Chelsie would win the $750,000 in a one-sided jury vote over Makensy.
Tucker and Rubina reunited and began dating in the real world. They would later compete on the latest season of The Amazing Race.
That season of The Amazing Race with Tucker and Rubina will air during the fall on CBS.
The Big Brother 26 showmance comes to an end
It was confirmed in May that Tucker and Rubina have gone their separate ways. They still feature on each other’s social media pages (in older photos and videos), so it appears that they ended on good terms.
“There has been a lot going on lately and I wanted to finally address things. Rubina and I are taking a break. It’s very sad but deep down we both know it is what’s best for both of us at this time. I’ve loved and appreciated all the support from each and everyone of you and hope I can still have with you all moving forward. I appreciate your understanding as I navigate this privately,” Tucker wrote on Instagram.
Rubina also shared a statement online.
“Tucker and I are no longer together. Grateful to have met him & for the love we shared. Feeling grounded and focused on this next chapter of growth. We appreciate your support, your respect, and the space to move through this chapter privately. And a big thank you in advance for continuing to support me through every season,” Rubina stated.
