Big Brother 27 has some bonus content for viewers. This summer, Friday night episodes will be part of the menu, with alums returning to help spice things up.
The schedule for BB27 begins on July 10, with a 90-minute premiere to introduce the new cast. From there, things settle into the regular Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday presentation of the past.
Beginning later in July, a new episode of Big Brother: Unlocked will be released every other Friday. These Friday night episodes will have Big Brother alums discussing the happenings of the BB27 cast.
That first Friday night episode will arrive on July 25, and it should help create additional buzz for the show. Having players from the past returning to discuss the competition should also keep people more interested as the season progresses.
What is Big Brother: Unlocked?
CBS has described Big Brother: Unlocked as a way for viewers to see never-before-seen broadcast footage from the house, exclusive interviews, surprise guest appearances, and gain unprecedented behind-the-scenes access. That’s a lot of promises for the fans, and Big Brother All-Stars will help lead that journey.
Having legends of the game involved in the process will provide viewers with a unique perspective from people who have lived in the house before. These 60-minute bonus episodes will provide more primetime coverage for the show, but they are not required viewing. Missing a Friday night episode won’t take away the enjoyment of watching the BB27 cast in action.
As a reminder, the first episode of Big Brother: Unlocked airs on Friday, July 25. The second episode will roll out on Friday, August 8. Stay tuned to learn which Big Brother alums will help make the bonus content a success.

We also have to wait for the Big Brother 27 cast list to be released. The names aren’t usually revealed until much closer to the season premiere, so the show is still shrouded in mystery for Summer 2025. What we do know is that this is a group of new folks who haven’t played the game before.
