Big Brother 28, Episode 18 recap: Shock and awe

The new Big Brother episode on Wednesday night revealed all the Power of Veto spoilers.

La Trice is the current Head of Household.

She nominated Haley, Chuk, and Barrett.

Haley is the target. Barrett is the pawn. Will it stay that way?

It was time to play the Veto Competition and set the final nominees for the week.

Big Brother 28 recap for Episode 18

La Trice had the first Diary Room session. She explained how things were going and how she was targeting Haley.

Barrett said, “It hurts” to be a nominee, even though he is a pawn. He was confused about how she told him to pick a side when he already chose a side with the Lyric vote.

Haley was shown crying. She complained, again, that she has had it rough “since Day 1” in the house.

Chuk said he felt blindsided. He noted that La Trice promised safety. He called her “dazed and confused” in the house.

Haley and Chuk were later shown complaining about being nominated. They called Taylor to chat.

Chuk continued saying La Trice is “dazed and confused” in the game.

Taylor (in a Diary Room session) called Haley and Chuk fake kings and queens.

Haley hoped Kamu could be safe and would save her.

Taylor noted in a DR session that Kamu is on board with getting her out.

Kamu was pleased with himself. He noted that the Tooldshed alliance was dead and he was seeking new allies.

Meanwhile, the costume punishment continued for Melody and Mallory.

Mallory joked about how much whining Haley had done this season about it being “rough” and how she couldn’t wait to see what happened when it really was rough.

A segment of their punishment time was featured.

Dee is playing an interesting Big Brother game

Dee has several other alliances, so she isn’t upset that the Toolshed was folding.

Angela felt guilty about lying to people about her votes. She started freaking out (her words).

Chuk went to La Trice to tell her how to play the game. It didn’t go well.

“Her gameplay disgusts me,” Chuk told the cameras.

A power in the Big Brother house, voting drama continues

Dee told Devens about her BB Bribe power.

Devens still has the Diamond Power of Veto.

Haley was still upset about the Lyric eviction vote. She thought Dee was lying and trusted Angela. But Angela was feeling more guilty.

But first, Haley shared her idea of winning the Power of Veto and not using it. She got Chuk on board. This was an idea to keep Kamu off the block.

Later, Dee came clean to Kamu about her vote to evict Lyric.

Dee also told Kamu that she has the BB Bribe power.

Angela also came clean to Haley after crying about it for a while. Haley was pretty sad and upset.

“I’m absolutely in shock,” Haley said in the DR.

Angela then told Dee about what she did. Dee was also upset.

A war in the Big Brother gym

Haley later approached Angela again. This time she was angry.

Haley lied and said she didn’t tell Chuk. But she had. It was an odd lie to keep pushing.

Then Chuk approached Angela, confirming Haley had told him. Angela cried more. Chuk made fun of her.

When Angela went to Kamu, he hugged her when she cried. He said he wasn’t mad.

A chat in the gym was shown later where Haley lied before saying she is only ever honest. Haley claimed that Angela told her that Dee had also voted to evict Lyric. Angela didn’t do that.

Haley, Chuk, and Kamu brought Angela into the gym to confront her again. But she had already come clean, so it seemed pointless. Haley and Chuk went hard on her again. Haley got caught lying again when she claimed Angela told her about Dee. Chuk doubled down on it. Angela flipped out. She called it “a b**** move” from Haley.

La Trice approached Haley in the kitchen after that blowup. She asked if Haley was going to apologize, but Haley completely sidestepped it all.

Veto Competition spoilers from Big Brother 28

Chuk picked Kamu to join the veto Competition. Dee was randomly selected.

Haley, Chuk, Barrett, La Trice, Dee, and Kamu were the POV players.

The challenge had the players navigating a dance floor and figuring out the pattern. It was done in rounds.

Kamu beat Chuk, Haley beat La Trice, Barrett beat Dee, and Barrett beat Haley.

It was Kamu vs Barrett for the Power of Veto.

Kamu won the Power of Veto.

Kamu met with La Trice and said he wouldn’t use it.

His story would be that he couldn’t use the POV, or La Trice would name Devens as the replacement nominee. She agreed to the story.

Elsewhere, Mallory, Melody, Drew, and Barrett confirmed their alliance called For The American People.

Kamu told Chuk about the plan. Chuk was very mad. Haley cried.

Kamu did not use the Power of Veto. He drew a line in the sand.

The final nominees for the week are Haley, Chuk, and Barrett. Someone goes home on Thursday night (August 13).

More tea from the Big Brother 2026 season

There is a new plan to target the reality TV icons. It will heavily impact next week.

Johnny Bananas from The Challenge shaded Dee’s Big Brother play. Their past showmance impacted his response.

Also, Frankie Grande responded to Kamu’s request to be set up with his sister. The request did not land well.

Elsewhere, a Big Brother winner wants to “smear” spicy food “in Kamu’s face” now. Mixed reactions have followed.
