Big Brother 28, Episode 3 debuted on Sunday night (July 12). It began by recapping what happened during the premiere.
As a reminder, 14 people began the game, all of whom had to compete for safety soon after they met host Julie Chen Moonves.
Jason, Chuk, and Rome are safe for the week. They each won a Day 1 challenge. These victories saved them from possibly being nominated.
Later, Rick Devens from Survivor, Angela Murray from BB26, and Rachel Reilly joined the game. But then a dinosaur killed Rachel.
Below are cast faces to go with the names.
We found out during the July 10 episode of Big Brother: Unlocked that Dee Valladeras from Survivor replaced Rachel.
That brings us to the new episode from Sunday, July 12.
Big Brother 28, Episode 2 breakdown
The three reality icons played for Head of Household. Dee, Devens, and Angela each had teams.
Devens played with Drew, Chuk, Haley, and Taylor.
Angela played with La Trice, Kamu, Rome, and Mallory.
Dee played with Jason, Yash, Melody, and Lyric.
Barrett and Ashley sat out.
The image below showcases the first challenge, which had the icon building a puzzle on a platform elevated by their teammates.
Dee’s team won, and she became the first Head of Household.
Deven’s team (Drew, Chuk, Haley, Taylor, and him) became the Have-Nots for performing the worst.
Below is a clip from when the BB28 cast first saw the Have-Not Room.
The Survivor winner also told her team that they would all be safe.
After the HOH Competition, the houseguests finally got to hang in the Living Room and introduce themselves. Everyone toasted to the season before the chaos began.
Dee and Angela met, exchanged compliments, and shared their excitement to work together.
Chuk and Kamu aligned. They pulled in Haley.
Jason and Angela bonded.
Later, Dee and Devens got over their Survivor drama and began working together. They wanted to bring on Kamu, Chuk, and Haley.
The Survivor alums also have a trio with Angela (no surprise there). Angela thought Barrett and Drew should join them.
Mallory bonded with Lyric and Melody.
And Lyric later bonded with Rome. Their bonding was a bit disruptive in the Pod Bedroom.
Dee’s allies tried to push her noms in one direction. But she had ideas of her own.
Who did Dee nominate for eviction?
Dee nominated Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel for eviction. She picked one person from each team. It was a bad excuse, especially in Week 1. It means she nominated someone from her HOH team, despite telling them they would all be safe.
The three nominees have a chance to save themselves in the Veto Competition. Anyone who remains on the block can also save themselves during the first BB Blockbuster Challenge on eviction night.
