Elsewhere, the first BB Fan Vote ended. So the results were coming in this episode.

Big Brother 28, Episode 6 recap

The new episode began with the houseguests reacting to the Time Capsule Fan Vote. This is where fans get to vote to send someone into the Time Capsule. A player can win a power or get a punishment.

Dee then spoke about how they made adjustments and got everyone on the same page to send Ashley out. Meanwhile, Taylor was “ecstatic” about surviving the vote.

Yash was celebrating a lot after winning BB Blockbuster and surviving the block.

Rome spoke about how he had spent time “building good relationships” and how he “felt good” heading into Week 2.

Lyric, Melody, and Mallory chatted about how important winning the HOH spot would be. They suspected a divided house.

Angela and Haley bonded.

In the Diary Room, Angela called Rome a “snake” who had to be taken out.

The Week 2 Head of Household Competition

June 30, 1992. That’s the date the Time Machine took the houseguests to. They competed in Table Shuffleboard.

Dee hosted the new HOH Competition. People had to pair up in the first round. Devens was the odd man out. He advanced.

Each round presented a new rule. So there was a twist each time.

In the second round, the partners battled each other.

  • Haley beat Chuk.
  • Drew beat Rome.
  • Melody beat La Trice.
  • Keamu beat Barrett.
  • Lyric beat Mallory.
  • Jason beat Taylor.
  • Angela beat Yash.

In round three, they had to find partners again. The players competed as partners this time.

Four duos competed in this round to advance to the finals.

Rick Devens and Haley Thogmartin won the team challenge. They would now battle for HOH.

Devens told Haley he would throw it to her. But Haley failed to slide her piece far enough.

Devens is your Week 2 Head of Household.

More from the July 19 episode of Big Brother 28

Rome felt safe with Devens in charge. Angela wanted Devens to target Rome.

Later, Devens told Rome he was “good” for the week. They also discussed who should see the block.

As a reminder, Rome and Lyric are in a showmance, and Devens had his eye on nominating her.

Rome asked him to protect himself, Jason, and Lyric. Devens agreed to those terms.

The options became Mallory, La Trice, and Melody. The three ladies are outside of his primary alliances.

After Devens shared that information with Dee, Dee told Angela and Barrett about it all. Angela decided to “fire up” Devens to “backdoor” Rome. Would it work?

A plan from Devens on Big Brother 28

Devens said he wanted to “blow up” the house. This was around 3 a.m. house time Friday morning. Haley went to the Have-Not Room to wake up Kamu.

Rome saw it, and he began to worry with Lyric. Angela then retrieved Barrett. Jason saw that. He began to worry with Lyric and Rome.

Meanwhile, the Red Corner and Crossovers met in the HOH Room. They joined forces. A new mega-alliance was formed; they bonded over what Rome had been telling each of them. It’s called the Toolshed.

The Toolshed alliance is Devens, Dee, Angela, Barrett, Chuk, Drew, Haley, and Kamu.

It got messy when Rome rang the HOH doorbell to come in. Nobody answered. He knew what it meant.

A plan was set. It was carried out later at the Nomination Ceremony.

Later, we saw who won the first BB28 Fan Vote. It was Angela.

Angela entered the Diary Room and saw she had won. The BB Time Capsule awaited.

Angela was told that success would win a power from the past. Failure would lead to a punishment from the past.

She was shown 12 screens. Six had punishments, and six had powers. Angela was spun around in a chair, and a frame rotated around the screens. All she had to do was click to stop the frame when she felt it was good.

Angela clicked on a punishment.

Angela’s punishment is to be the Hard-Boiled Detective from BB27. It’s VERY harsh.

Who did Devens nominate on Big Brother 28?

Devens went into the Nomination Ceremony with a plan to “kick the hornet’s nest” and see what happened.

Devens nominated Melody, Lyric, and Jason. Rome would serve as the replacement nominee. Jason would go home if he didn’t escape the block.

He also told the house about the deal Rome had made. Then everything blew up. Jason and Angela began going at it in the Nomination Ceremony before the episode ended.

Here’s a link to a video from the Live Feeds that showed the blowup. It was messy!

Also, here’s a link to spoilers about the Week 2 veto results. This Power of Veto holds lots of power.
