Big Brother spoilers from Day 61 involve the HOH nominations, the Power of Veto plans, and lots of infighting.
It’s been a busy few days for the houseguests, especially with someone new in power.
We’ve also heard a lot about Dee’s Time Capsule power, as it has shaped many discussions this week.
As a reminder, we are already in the BB28 jury phase. That’s where La Trice is living until finale night.
Big Brother 28 has a new HOH in place
Barrett is the new Head of Household. He finally stepped up and won power. His game looks much different in recent weeks, especially due to the icons targeting Mallory.
Devens only survived last week because he found safety in the BB Blockbuster Challenge. He may have to save himself again, as the tone in the house has shifted against him.
Barrett nominated Devens, Dee, and Angela for eviction. It was a clear shot at the icons. But they are working hard to get him to name specific replacement nominees.
Meanwhile, the icons have turned on Yash. They are pushing the narrative that he can’t be trusted by revealing what Dee really got with her BB Bribe.
As a reminder, Dee gave Yash a $5,000 bribe to protect the icons if he becomes HOH. At first, Barrett and Drew didn’t believe it and felt Dee was lying some more. Either way, she was dishonest about her bribe.
So while making Yash look bad for hiding the details of the bribe, Dee came off as even less trustworthy than before.
The Power of Veto and plans for Big Brother 2026 Week 9
It’s BB Comics later on Saturday (September 5).
Barrett and Melody want a non-icon to win the season, so they have every reason to protect Yash.
Yash still wants to target the icons. That could work in his favor later.
Drew had mentioned using the Power of Veto to save Angela from the block. He feels it would be a good TV moment. He’s right. Having Dee vs Devens could be an interesting BB Blockbuster event.
But that may have worked against Drew. He wasn’t drawn to play in the POV. Barrett chose Yash, and Angela chose Taylor.
Barrett, Dee, Devens, Angela, Taylor, and Yash will play in the BB Comics Veto Competition.

Barrett also told Drew about Taylor suggesting him as the renom. He also promised Devens safety, but then nominated him anyway.
Barrett needs the nominations to stay the same. He can’t afford to anger more people this week. But for that to happen, he has to win the Power of Veto.
In any other scenario, someone is coming off the block. If Taylor wins, she could take Angela off the block and force Barrett to name Drew as the replacement nominee.
Things could get messy this weekend, especially when we learn the veto results.
And yes. The icons are very upset about being on the block. Having safety nearly all summer has gone to their heads.
Dee, Devens, and Angela have begun arguing with each other (a lot) over how they go into this position. It has led to some spicy chats that will be featured in upcoming episodes.
