Big Brother, Survivor stars make it to semifinals for $1 million prize

A Big Brother alum and a Survivor winner just reached the semifinals of 99 to Beat. That’s how close they are to possibly winning that $1 million prize on the new FOX show.

The season began with 100 people competing for a $1 million prize. Each episode has featured four individual games and one team game. Those games eliminate people along the way until only two people remain, competing for the $1 million.

The goal of the show is not to win each challenge, but to not finish last. It is a tagline that the two hosts, Ken Jeong and Erin Andrews, use each night.

Big Brother and Survivor alums are doing very well on 99 to Beat

Big Brother 21 alum Tommy Bracco and Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright have advanced to the semifinals of 99 to Beat. They have each survived the first eight episodes, putting them within reach of a huge payday.

Tommy was on the BB21 cast in Summer 2019. The Broadway dancer from Staten Island, New York, finished in fifth place. Jackson Michie won Big Brother 21, and Holly Allen was the runner-up. The season also featured America’s Favorite Houseguest, Nicole Anthony, former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Kathryn Dunn, and future BB22 cast member David Alexander.

“Live footage of me seeing my potential and starting to believe in myself😊 15 players left!! We’re so close to the end!!! Who’s gonna win the million?!?! Catch up on 99 TO BEAT on @hulu & @disneyplus !! #realitytv #99tobeat,” Tommy wrote on Instagram after the latest episode.

Danni is a Kansas City native who won Survivor in 2005. Survivor 11 lasted 39 days, and Stephenie LaGrossa was the runner-up. That season also featured Rafe Judkins and Lydia Morales. Danni, an actress, TV host, sports journalist, and model, returned for Survivor 40: Winners at War. She finished in 19th place during that return.

“Don’t let the space buns and sparkly shoes fool you… I came to 99 to Beat to compete!” Danni posted online after Episode 8.

Only two episodes left of 99 to Beat Season 1

After the November 19 episode, only two installments remain in Season 1 of 99 to Beat.

The semifinals are on December 3, followed by the 99 to Beat season finale on December 10. One of the finalists will leave the game with a $1 million prize and become the first winner of this intriguing reality competition show.

The new episodes air at 9/8c, Wednesdays on FOX. Previous episodes are available for streaming on Hulu and FOX On Demand.
