Big Brother winner Ashley Hollis has stirred up a hornet’s nest on social media this week.
Ashley began making supportive posts on Threads about singer Chris Brown.
Yes, the same Chris Brown who was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats after his then-girlfriend Rihanna was left with visible facial injuries and hospitalized after an argument was escalated.
It led to Brown being forced to take a domestic violence course, do community service, and have a restraining order put in place. As PEOPLE reported, he violated that restraining order later on.
Since then, Brown has been arrested multiple times, has spent time in jail, and has had another restraining order put in place by an ex.
Ashley Hollis stands up for Chris Brown
“Threads timeline: Chris brown and usher is an iconic concert Twitter folks: anyone who likes Chris brown or usher is cancelled!!!! 💀,” Ashley wrote on Threads.
“They’re correct. If you support abusers then you lack morals and you should be shamed. Support who you want to support but people do have the right to no longer support you in return,” a fan responded.
“Im sorry, but people have the right to criticize people who choose to support serial abusers thats not being ‘too woke’ thats just basic human decency. But enjoy the concert,” someone else wrote on Threads.
Over on X, we at Tea on TV saw even more Big Brother fans reacting. And it didn’t go well for Ashley.
“She hasn’t had one right take since leaving the house I’m actually impressed,” wrote one fan.
“Really questioning the ethics of this lawyer…… Why tf is everyone a pyscho, it shouldn’t be hard not to support men who constantly ABUSE women /: where will ppl draw the line?? do these artists have to become murders to be taken as a serious threat to society? @ashleyhollis_,” another fan wrote.
“Shes literally so stupid its wild. Maybe one of the most tonedeaf privileged morons ive ever seen. Even on tv she really is bottom of the barrel. Zero class,” another fan responded.
Ashley Hollis doubles down on supporting Chris Brown
Ashley wasn’t done trying to make Chris Brown look good. She even went to TikTok.
“Like, why can’t we just let people like who they like? You don’t have to support every single thing the celebrity says and every single thing the celebrity does, but if someone chooses to like them for their talent, whatever that talent may be, like, so what,” Ashley says in the video.
“I love my girl, but why is THIS the hill she’s trying to die on???” one fan responded.
“Her saying this AFTER she learned that chris brown has an extensive history of beating women,” wrote someone else.
“Omg why does she act like Chris Brown wasn’t an abuser??? Like huh? That’s something that is 100% valid to cancel someone over. Why would you want to support that, especially as a woman yourself,” responded another frustrated Big Brother fan.
After she saw the responses she was getting, Ashley made another post on Threads.
“The funny thing is I didn’t even know Chris brown was cancelled💀 I guess he’s only cancelled online. Everyone in real life listens to his music and his tour was just sold out last year I thought … well now I know😂 so can someone confirm is usher online cancelled too?” Ashley wrote.
The Big Brother 27 winner is really going scorched Earth on defending Chris Brown.
