Chicago P.D. fans are finally getting some answers. It’s been months since we last saw Patrick John Flueger as Officer Adam Ruzek.
For many episodes, Intelligence has been short-handed. The team even had to deal with a crossover episode without Ruzek.
Luckily, Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead popped up for a night. They helped Intelligence close a case that could haunt Chicago for a while.
The last time we saw Ruzek was back in October. Later, we finally got some answers about where the character had gone.
During the January 14 episode (Heroes), a conversation between Sergeant Trudy Platt and Officer Kevin Atwater provided key information.
“Disco Bob’s not doing too well, so he needs a little time,” Atwater told Platt. “Still skeleton, baby.”
Bob, Ruzek’s dad, has been dealing with Alzheimer’s. And his condition got worse. Thus, it took Ruzek away from the precinct.
When does Ruzek return to Chicago P.D.?
We have some great news. Officer Adam Ruzek returns for the March 11 Chicago P.D. episode (Meant to Be).
Actor Patrick John Flueger has been shown in images for the new episode. Finally, he is working with Marina Squerciati again (she plays Detective Kim Burgess).
Below is an image from Chicago P.D. Season 13, Episode 14. It debuts on Wednesday, March 11, at 10/9c on NBC.

More on Ruzek’s first episode back
“Burgess takes a rookie officer under her wing as the team investigates a volatile drug case,” reads the March 11 Chicago P.D. synopsis.
It’s a very basic synopsis, revealing almost nothing from the new installment. It does tease that a new face will appear on the show.
An extended promo was released for the March 11 episodes of One Chicago. They blended Med, Fire, and P.D. into one large promo.
It’s great to have the shows back after being off the air for a month during the Winter Olympics.
One Chicago rolls on
New episodes of the Chicago shows air on March 11 and March 18. These will be important installments that help set up the storylines that will wrap up this spring.
Previous episodes of Med, Fire, and P.D. are streaming on Peacock. That includes the wonderful crossover (Reckoning) that debuted on March 4. Make sure to watch those episodes before tuning in for the March 11 and March 18 installments.
