Intense drama hit The Traitors 4 during an argument between Colton Underwood and Michael Rapaport.
As previously reported by Tea on TV, Rapaport has already addressed the messiness, apologizing if he offended anyone. Meanwhile, social media was overrun with opinions about Underwood from his days in Bachelor Nation.
Many fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are still frustrated with Underwood. That includes Demi Burnett, one of the ladies who dated him on The Bachelor. She had front row seats to the season, but also to its aftermath.
In a recent video, Burnett spoke about the restraining order Underwood had been given. He left the show in a relationship with Cassie Randolph, but they broke up shortly after that. She then got a restraining order against him.
Colton Underwood wants to talk about Michael Rapaport, but not Cassie Randolph
During a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Colton Underwood spoke about his dustup with Michael Rapaport on The Traitors 4. EW relayed that they were not allowed to ask him any questions about his ex (Cassie Randolph). When rumors of that hit social media, many folks didn’t believe it until EW posted it in their article.
Some social media users posted guesses about why Underwood didn’t address that situation. The guesses included possible legalities, an effort to keep focus on The Traitors, and cowardice.
Rapaport vs Underwood on The Traitors
Let’s quickly revisit Michael Rapaport’s comments after the show.
“It sucks but I felt backed into a corner and I tried to fight my way out of it. Maybe I fought too hard. I meant what I meant within the context of the game. It had nothing to do with his sexuality. I really sincerely apologize if I offended Colton or anybody in the house. That absolutely wasn’t my intention. I’m a fan of the game, I played hard, and I played a good game, except for when it went a little too far which sucks,” Michael Rapaport previously stated.
Since then, Colton Underwood has shared his view.
“In the short time that I got to know Michael, he was self-aware enough. He’s a fast talker, he’s a slick talker, and he said it in one of his interviews, his mouth gets him in trouble. I grew up around those types of people. It’s very much like a locker-room-style environment, and I think phrases and little digs and things towards the gay community get thrown out a lot in those type of environments. I’m at a point in my life where I’m definitely not sitting in that emotion. I don’t feel like a victim at all. I know he’s probably watching it back just with a little bit of regret on how he delivered it,” Underwood told EW.
