With weeks to go until we see a complete Dancing With the Stars cast for Season 34, speculation is running rampant about which celebrities might appear.
Four individuals are already confirmed, but several more names are emerging as potential DWTS cast members.
Over the past several months, wildlife conservationist and TV personality Robert Irwin, as well as social media influencer Alix Earle, announced their participation.
More recently, several reality TV stars from the same show dropped their names as participants.
From The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, viewers will see Whitney Leavitt and Jenn Affleck perform well on the dance floor. That’s only four in the Season 34 cast so far.
There are more celebrity names recently appearing in DWTS rumors as potential cast members. Here’s the tea on possible participation for two of them!
Twilight star would be an instant DWTS favorite
Sometimes, the DWTS cast seems to lack star power, but there are times when a celebrity appears who is immediately a contender, simply based on popularity.
Maybe we’re overestimating it, but if Taylor Lautner appears on ABC’s competition show, he’ll probably get a few votes thrown his way by viewers!
Lautner appeared in the Twilight trilogy as the heartthrob werewolf Jacob, who was part of the love triangle involving Kristen Stewart’s Bella and Robert Pattinson’s vampire Edward.
It seems there’s always speculation Lautner could appear on DWTS before a new season, and the hype builds from there. An insider previously told The Sun that the actor was in talks to go on the new season.
While we think he’d be a top star on the dance floor, Parade reported that an exclusive source told them there are no talks between Lautner’s people and DWTS for Season 34.
The outlet attempted to contact Lautner and his reps, but they had not received a reply as of this writing. Based on the above, it appears that we won’t see Jacob showcasing his dance skills this season. Sorry, Twilight fans!
Wrestling star interested in DWTS and another hit reality TV show
We’ve seen multiple wrestling stars appear on Dancing With the Stars. Stacy Keibler, Chris Jericho, Nikki Bella, and The Miz have all participated. Nikki even met her now ex-husband from DWTS, but we won’t get into that!
However, Nikki also recently returned to WWE, and she has been podcasting with her twin sister, Brie “Bella” Garcia.
In a recent episode, they spoke to another WWE legend, Charlotte Flair, who has expressed interest in appearing on DWTS.
“I really want to do Dancing With the Stars. That, and I want to be on the RuPaul drag queen show,” Charlotte admitted, adding, “One of those are on my bucket list.”
Nikki encouraged her friend and colleague to do both DWTS and RuPaul’s Drag Race. She told her she should go for the upcoming season and that they’re usually looking for people until August.
“The RuPaul show would be fun too, just because of their outfits, the glamor, the makeup, all of it. The Charlotte Flair character, I feel like, fits right in,” she told Nikki.
They recalled their WWE cohorts, The Miz, Chris Jericho, and Stacy Keibler, who had previously appeared on DWTS. Putting Charlotte in a cast would make a lot of sense, given the popularity of her famous father, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, who is a household name.
Additionally, she actively participates in WWE, suggesting a crossover between viewers from the wrestling and dance worlds.
It would be fantastic to watch Charlotte show her competitive and athletic nature on the popular ABC show. She has already defeated many opponents and demonstrated incredible skills in the wrestling ring.
From Nikki’s podcast chat, it seems like Charlotte might have a better chance of being on the show before Lautner. We’d immediately consider her a serious contender for the crown or Mirrorball Trophy, rather, if she were to step on the dancefloor for DWTS!
