Jana Duggar announces birth of son
Jana Duggar took to Instagram to announce the birth of her son, Archie.
She revealed that she and Stephen Wissmann welcomed their son, Archie Gerald Wissmann, on December 30. There were no details about the baby’s stats, but they may be saving that for a future video.
The caption reads, in part, “We took some time to settle into our new rhythm before sharing this sweet news 🤍”
Interestingly, Archie was born on the same day as his twin uncles, Jedidiah and Jeremiah. Archie and the daughters of Jeremiah and Hannah Wissmann will be double first cousins—a first in the Duggar family.
What’s next for the new family?
As Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann settle into parenthood, they will likely share adventures along the way.
It has been almost a month since they welcomed Archie. Jana went silent after Christmas with the Duggars, which makes sense because she gave birth just five days later.
They are both family-oriented, so it will be interesting to see who visits them in Nebraska and who was there for the birth. Michelle Duggar typically attends births with her daughters, and given her close relationship with Jana, we suspect she was there as well.
She has always been the one to help her sisters and sisters-in-law after they welcomed babies. They likely showed up to help her and repay the kindness she has shown them over the years. The younger Duggar sisters are likely ecstatic about the arrival of another nephew.
