Joy Anna Duggar finally broke her silence following Joseph Duggar’s arrest.
While several of her siblings have already spoken out, her words were what some followers had been waiting to hear.
Those who follow the family know how close Joy Anna and Joseph were growing up. Her husband, Austin Forsyth, and Joseph were good friends before she even thought about marrying him.
Kendra Caldwell received her proposal from Joseph at Joy Anna and Austin’s wedding, and the two couples often spent time together.
After dealing with what happened because of her eldest brother, Josh Duggar, in 2021, Joy Anna has to face another situation just a few years later.
While her statement wasn’t as scathing as Jason Duggar’s and Maddie Grace Jones’s, it was a bit more than expected.
Joy Anna calls Joseph Duggar’s arrest ‘deeply disturbing’
Since Joseph Duggar’s arrest, Joy Anna Duggar has been posting on social media.
However, she made it clear in her statement that she has some posts she’s agreed to post in the coming days, but she would be taking time to process everything that’s happening.
It is interesting to note that she did not mention Joseph by name. There was also no mention of his wife, Kendra Caldwell, or their children.
What will happen to Joseph Duggar?
As Joy Anna Duggar takes time to be with her family, Joseph Duggar remains in custody in the Washington County jail.
He will be extradited to Florida to face the charges he faces from the alleged crimes he committed there in 2020. However, since he also faces charges related to child endangerment and false imprisonment, he will have to face those in Arkansas.
Kendra Caldwell is also facing the same charges, but was able to bond out. Her next court date is April 29, which will likely reveal where she goes next.
Joy Anna likely won’t say much else about her brother or sister-in-law, but it will be interesting to see whether she or her husband, Austin Forsyth, shows up for court dates involving either party. Both attended court when her eldest brother, Josh Duggar, was on trial in 2021.
With another scandal for the family, followers are waiting to see where things land. It seemed some of the family members had been picking up the pieces and working through what happened over the years. Joseph and Kendra’s arrests put another stain on the Duggars and may have pushed some of the siblings even further away.
