Survivor 50 might finally pay off on that Fake Immunity Idol substory.
The second episode of the season featured some theatrics from Rick Devens and Christian Hubicki.
Christian found a Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol. He then sent the Boomerang Idol to Aubry Bracco.
Since then, Aubry has played that Idol, stating it was a “Scarlet Letter” rather than an advantage.
But that wasn’t all that Christian did when it came to the Idol he found.
What did Rick Devens do on Survivor 50?
Rick got the Immunity Idol parchment paper from Christian. He then insinuated that he constructed a Fake Idol and wrapped it all up.
That’s when the duo put a plan in place to cause chaos later in the season.
At the end of the Tribal Council on Episode 2, the Cila Tribe got up to leave. It gave Rick and Christian a shot to enact their plan.
Christian then faked a fall to draw his tribe’s attention. It worked. Especially for Cirie Fields, who was concerned he may have hurt himself.
While everyone was looking at Christian, Rick took that moment to take the parchment from his backpack. He hid it under rocks near the Tribal Council seating area.
For many successive episodes, Survivor fans have wondered what happened to it.
Did Survivor 50 tease that Fake Idol?
“A boat arrives asking the tribe to divide themselves into pairs,” begins the new episode synopsis. “This week’s Immunity Challenge features one of the biggest twists ever seen in Survivor history.
As previously reported by Tea on TV, that’s what CBS has revealed about the April 15 episode. But that’s not all.
“Then, a theatrical risk taken at Tribal Council must be enough to cast doubt upon those on the chopping block,” finishes the synopsis.
Is the “theatrical risk” Rick and/or Christian pretending to find a Fake Immunity Idol at Tribal Council? That could certainly create chaos for everyone around them.
Host Jeff Probst teased that two eliminations could happen on the new episode. This could lead many players to scramble.
