Survivor alum Russell Hantz says he is returning to reality TV

Survivor fans who enjoyed watching Russell Hantz play the game may get to see him on TV again very soon.

The former castaway teased his social media followers with a big announcement, getting people buzzing about the possibilities.

Russell has appeared on four Survivor seasons (three US and one Australian season).

Viewers met him on Survivor: Samoa (Season 19), where he finished as the runner-up to Natalie White. The season also featured Laura Morett, Monica Padilla, Russell Swan, and John Fincher.

Russell returned for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (Season 20), where he finished as the second runner-up. Sandra Diaz-Twine won that season, with Parvati Shallow finishing as the runner-up. Rob Mariano, Tyson Apostol, Cirie Fields, and Rupert Bonegam were just some of the other players.

Later, Russell played on Survivor: Redemption Island (Season 22), but he was the third person voted out. We here at Tea on TV still feel that was one of the best seasons of Survivor.

Russell Hantz teases a return to reality TV

“I have literally received 4 different offers to do 4 different shows this year alone. I have finally said yes to one of the offers! See you guys soon!” Russell posted on X.

That’s a lot of shows that seem to want him as a featured player. It would be interesting to hear which ones called him. As it stands, though, Russell appears ready to end his absence from reality TV.

Many of Russell’s supporters were excited by the post.

“House of Villains or Traitors. Gotta be. Let the Russell Renaissance begin!” one fan wrote.

“Score! See you soon. You would be extremely entertaining on Traitors or House of Villains,” wrote someone else.

“The goat? Seems beneath you but also catered for a solid win chance. Prize is a prize who cares where its from get that money,” another fan guessed.

But not everyone was excited about the news. Russell is still seen as a villain by many reality TV viewers.

“I’m guessing one offer hastily and greedily accepted,” one person asserted.

“We’re not hungry…. we’ve had too much of the hantz family,” wrote someone else.

“But ur so washed,” joked another user.

Guess we have to wait to find out who called Russell Hantz. But there are certainly many interesting options for his return to reality TV.
