The Price Is Right Season 54 premiere: Here’s when new episodes return

Many fans have noticed that the beloved CBS game show, The Price Is Right, is on an extended break.

Earlier this season, viewers watched a special 10,000th episode of the long-running weekday show, currently hosted by Drew Carey.

The show previously featured the legendary Bob Barker, who hosted for multiple decades before retiring and passing the torch to Drew.

The actor and comedian has performed well, bringing a unique sense of humor and style to his hosting.

While a new special aired for the Fourth of July honoring first responders, the daily episodes have been reruns since then.

Here are more details for when to expect Drew and his crew back with more episodes of the entertaining game show for Season 54.

When will The Price Is Right have new episodes?

The recent season was once again full of surprises, big winners, and special episodes, along with some unfortunate incidents on TPIR’s stage.

As TeaOnTV previously reported, one episode featured a contestant who exited the show and was unable to participate in the Showcase Showdown wheel spin due to a rumored injury.

There was also that super fun 10,000th episode, where we got to see more significant prizes awarded, and a July 4th special episode to honor first responders who assisted during the 2025 California wildfires.

Season 54 of The Price Is Right is expected to premiere in September 2025 for the daytime game show. As of this writing, there is no specific premiere date available.

Early speculation is that the season premiere will be on either Monday, September 22, or Monday, September 29, on CBS.

What about The Price Is Right at Night?

Drew Carey also hosts the primetime version of the game show, featuring announcer George Gray and models Amber Lancaster, Rachel Reynolds, Manuela Arbelaez, Alexis Gaube, Devin Goda, and James O’Halloran.

On The Price Is Right at Night, contestants are typically playing for bigger prizes than they do on the daytime version. In the video below, a contestant could win a brand new Lexus from TPIR.

In another example, the primetime version of Plinko typically allows contestants to win up to $100,000 rather than $50,000 on the daytime version. In the nighttime version, the center slot is worth $20,000 if a chip lands there, whereas it’s only worth $10,000 on the daytime version.

There was also a special edition of Hole In One, where a contestant could win two new cars by sinking a putt with an active windmill on the green.

According to online reports, the latest speculation is that The Price Is Right at Night’s new episodes are expected to premiere on CBS in January 2026. That could give fans a great way to celebrate the new year by enjoying one of their favorite game shows at night!
