Ready for a winter season of Big Brother? That could be a lot of fun, and it looks possible on CBS this year.
CBS will need counter-programming for the 2026 Winter Olympics. This time, the big event happens in Milan and the ski resort town of Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy. The Winter Olympics will dominate primetime viewing, beginning on Friday, February 6, 2026.
During previous iterations of the Winter Olympics, networks have had to shelve most primetime shows as viewers tune in to watch the Games. That is about to happen again this winter, and to compete with NBC, CBS could return to the well for more Big Brother.
A new Winter Big Brother season on CBS
Celebrity Big Brother 4 seems possible this winter, especially since it would be easy to produce. It could be a quick three- or four-week season where celebrities compete for a cash prize. Keep in mind that we aren’t talking about A-list celebrities, but many recognizable folks would love to compete for money on television.
A new celebrity season could enlist people from music, sports, reality TV, and other walks of life to compete in an abridged season. It would give Big Brother fans something to watch as we wait for Big Brother 28 to arrive next summer.
Alternatively, the Big Brother producers could put together a quick All-Stars season. Inviting back people who have competed in the past could be fun for a short and sweet winter season. Then, the producers wouldn’t need to do stunt casting (like with Rachel Reilly) during the summer show.
Host Julie Chen Moonves has dropped hints about being interested in having another Celebrity Big Brother season, and it could be lots of fun.
