Chicago Fire shocker: Who might have died in season finale?

The Chicago Fire season finale sure packed a punch.

An entire night of foreshadowing led to a catch-your-breath scene as the episode ended.

Firehouse 51 responded (in full) to a huge warehouse fire. Entry was difficult, with Truck 81 going to the roof as Squad 3 and Mouch went inside.

Severide, soon after being christened as a new captain for the Chicago Fire Department, went inside when Pascal showed up to help.

Pascal’s return was unexpected, but it added to the drama of the final moments. Severide called out a Mayday as the four firefighters on the roof scrambled for the ladder, and everyone inside became trapped.

But that’s not all. An explosion within the building sent a fireball that consumed the four people descending on the ladder.

Pascal, Violet, and Novak watched in stunned shock from below.

Who may have died in the Chicago Fire season finale fire?

Many characters are at risk due to this Chicago Fire cliffhanger. And the show has been eerily quiet about who is returning for Season 15.

That’s the good news, though. Chicago Fire Season 15 was already ordered for the fall.

But back to the nine characters who are in peril.

Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), Mouch McHolland (Christian Stolte), Joe Cruz (Joe Miñoso), Tony Ferraris (Anthony Ferraris), and Harold Capp (Randy Flagler) were trapped inside the building.

Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), Sal Vasquez (Brandon Larracuente), and Ballard (Leroy S. Williams III) were caught in the fireball.

That’s at least nine characters left in danger. Fan concern has been raised, especially because of the season finale subplots.

Herrmann renewed his wedding vows; Mouch and Trudy Platt are about to get a nice payday thanks to his writing; Severide and Kidd may be able to adopt their former foster kid; and Cruz found out he is having twins with his wife.

Yes, it’s also possible that everyone survives, and this was to keep viewers talking about the show until next season. But Chicago Fire has not been shy about killing off or replacing characters in the past. We remain worried here at Tea on TV.

Plus, does this mean Dermot Mulroney is returning as Dom Pascal in some fashion? The only questions we don’t have are about the paramedic team (Jocelyn Hudon as Lyla Novak and Hanako Greensmith as Violet Mikami).

More from the One Chicago shows

As we mentioned, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. have been renewed.

Previous episodes of the show are streaming on Peacock.

Elsewhere, a new game show called Nation’s Dumbest arrives this summer. It has celebrities competing to prove they aren’t dumb.
