Survivor 50 said goodbye to Cirie Fields during the penultimate episode, but not before her ally Rizo Velovic turned on her.
Cirie could have been bitter about the outcome, but she took a different route instead.
We will see Cirie again during the upcoming season finale. She will be on the jury and get to vote for who wins the $2,000,000 prize.
Meanwhile, fans get to vote on their favorite player from Season 50. Someone is getting a bonus $100,000 prize from Sia.
Cirie Fields spoke about Rizo Velovic turning on her during Survivor 50
“You know what? Rizo is a kid, like one of my sons. I think Rizo’s younger than most of my sons. I have three sons,” Cirie told Entertainment Weekly.
Cirie actually played Big Brother with one of her sons, Jared Fields.
“I think Rizo’s a smart Survivor player, and he’s like me 20 years ago. I just wanted to win the game so badly, and Rizo was loyal, and he rode as long as he could until he thought it got to a point where he was right! He would never win against me. You can’t be mad at him,” she added.
That’s a nice compliment from someone who has played the game many times. Rather than get bitter about what Rizo did, she understood and credited the gameplay. Not everyone can do that on these reality competition shows.
Cirie also elaborated a bit on her answer.
“So I just think Rizo did what he thought he needed to do for his game. And I look at Rizo like when your children do something bad, you don’t turn on them, you don’t hate them. You might scold them or have a conversation with them, but you still love them, and that’s how I feel about Rizo,” the reality TV legend stated.
The final five players are Jonathan Young, Joe Hunter, Tiffany Ervin, Aubry Bracco, and Rizo. Could the Survivor 49 alum actually make the final three and stand in front of the jury? Stay tuned!
