Married at First Sight is a hot topic on social media as Season 20 airs, with red flares popping up left and right.
Scoring a deep scarlet among the many hues of red is Felipe Cruz, who laughingly admitted that he had cheated in a past relationship.
That should’ve excluded him from being cast on the show, but the experts said, “Bet,” and here we are.
MAFS fans slam show for casting cheater Felipe
Felipe is getting dragged by viewers, and so are the MAFS experts for casting him on the show due to his cheating past.
One clip in particular, in which Felipe tells his castmates that he cheated on his ex and forgot he did, has tongues wagging.
“Whoever thought Felipe was a prime candidate for this show needs to be replaced,” wrote one viewer.
“I almost feel like he is acting because no one could be that terrible,” reasoned someone else.
One MAFS fan expressed disappointment in Felipe’s casting, saying, “The experts are so wrong for casting this guy. SMH… So disappointed.”
Another added, “What an actual loser.”
“He said it proudly like bro that’s so lame,” exclaimed someone else.

Interestingly, though, Felipe also shared the video on his page, and his friends and family posted some positive comments, all vowing that he’s a good guy.
Felipe responds to the backlash
Meanwhile, Felipe is taking the backlash from MAFS viewers in stride.
The 29-year-old saw the online clip of his cheating confession after someone shared it and remarked that it’s “just the truth 😅.”

With only four episodes posted so far, it’s still early days for things to turn around for Felipe, because, let’s be honest, there are many other red flags among the cast.
Will he be able to redeem himself and prove the naysayers wrong?
We’ll just have to stay tuned for the entire season to find out.
Do you think Felipe can redeem himself? Sound off in the comments.
