Big Brother 28, Episode 20 recap: August 16 chaos

A new episode of Big Brother 28 debuted on Sunday night.

It was time for CBS viewers to find out who won the latest Head of Household Competition.

The August 16 episode revealed how Week 6 began for the BB28 cast.

As always, previous episodes of Big Brother are streaming on Paramount+.

Big Brother 28, Episode 20 recap: August 16 installment

The narrator let us know the “Toolshed was toast” after the last episode. We saw a recap of what happened while La Trice was HOH, and how her target was Haley. But Haley survived. Chuk did not.

It was time for some Diary Room sessions!

Haley cried after surviving. She was also upset about losing Chuk. She was ready to “pivot” her game.

Barrett thought it was “amazing” that the tide finally shifted in the house.

Dee loved having Haley back, as it took the spotlight off her (for a bit).

La Trice said Haley was not nice and she didn’t like her. She wanted her out as soon as possible.

Angela and Haley bonded after the eviction. Angela said she was glad Haley survived. Meanwhile, Haley wanted La Trice out. She also said she wanted to put her trust in Angela.

Haley also spoke about how excited she was to win the BB28 Fan Vote. Spoiler alert: She did not win it.

Melody was upset that Haley was playing a “victim” game by constantly crying and saying how hard it was for her in the house.

Haley and Kamu seemed to bond again. They attempted to clear the air.

A new HOH on Big Brother 28

The houseguests traveled to 1999 to compete for HOH. Hilariously, Melody noted how she wasn’t even born yet in 1999. But Angela noted she had just had her son that year.

The challenge was head-to-head, with the players trying to ring in with the correct picture that featured the most bugs (A play on the Y2K stuff).

  • Yash beat Kamu. He picked Melody and Angela to battle.
  • Melody beat Angela. She picked Haley and Taylor to battle.
  • Taylor beat Haley. She picked Drew and Devens to battle.
  • Devens beat Drew. Devens picked Taylor and Dee to battle. But Dee and Devens planned that.
  • Dee beat Taylor. Dee picked Devens and Melody to battle. Alas, it was another plan.
  • Melody beat Devens. She then picked Dee and Yash to battle.
  • Yash beat Dee. He then picked Barrett and Mallory to battle.
  • Barrett beat Mallory. He went with Melody and Yash to battle.
  • Yash beat Melody. He made it to the finals.
  • The final match was between Yash and Barrett. Yash won.

Yash is your Week 6 Head of Household. Would he target the icons?

Later, Yash said he was ready to make a splash with some big moves.

Melody enters the Time Capsule

Melody won the BB28 Fan Vote.

She got to enter the Time Capsule and compete for a power or punishment.

She was excited, but Melody won a punishment.

Melody got a costume punishment. She became the Lord of the Latrine. It means she had to announce when people went to the bathroom in the house.

Haley resumed her “mean girl” statements in the house.

Who did Yash nominate for eviction?

Yash and Kamu worked on his nominations. Yash noted that he had not forgotten how Dee nominated him in Week 1.

Devens and Dee were excited to be safe since they have the Wolfpack alliance with Kamu and Yash. But maybe they celebrated too early.

Later, Kamu “put a lot of heat” on Dee (according to Yash). He mentioned how she had lied repeatedly and already won Survivor. Yash was worried there were cracks in the Wolfpack alliance.

Yash chatted with Devens about the nominees. He mentioned Dee as a pawn, and Devens told Dee it might be time to use that BB Bribe power.

Dee tried to bribe Yash with the $5,000. She first tried to get protection for herself and Angela. Then she tried to get safety just for herself (as she began crying). He passed.

Yash nominated Haley, Angela, and Dee for eviction. The ladies must now battle for safety in the Veto Competition and possibly the BB Battleback.

More tea from the world of Big Brother

Haley says she “deserves” power in the house for what she has been through. But does she?

A legend from The Challenge has passed away. The sad news has hit alumni and the fandom really hard.

Here is a link to all the details for Survivor 51. The new season has been filmed, and we know the player bios.
