Big Brother celebrated its 1,000th episode on August 27.
As reported by Tea on TV, the show’s producers were teasing a huge twist.
CBS even gave them 90 minutes to really shake things up.
What would the twist be? The producers really need a win.
Big Brother 28, Episode 25 recap from August 27
Host Julie Chen Moonves welcomed everyone to the new installment.
We then saw a recap of what happened during Dee’s second week as Head of Household.
The final nominees for the week were Drew, Mallory, and Taylor. One player would go home by the end of the night.
The narrator then teased how “legends of the game” were in attendance to watch the “live” 1,000th episode.
Back on the stage, Julie said they were about to “make Big Brother history” and celebrate the “unprecedented milestone” for the show.
It was then time to look back on the first 27 summer seasons. The look back showcased classic moments, costumes, players, showmances, and more.
“Dan’s Funeral” was revealed as the Favorite Moment of Big Brother fans.
Fans also voted on the best player to never win. Danielle Reyes, Paul Abrahamian, Vanessa Rousso, Janelle Pierzina, Morgan Pope, and Tyler Crispen were the finalists.
The fans picked Janelle. She played four times and finished third in the first All-Stars season.
Janelle was also named the favorite Comp Beast.
The fans’ favorite alliance (in history) is The Cookout.
The favorite quote came from Rachel Reilly: “Floaters grab a life vest.”
Jun Song, Taylor Hale, Dan Gheesling, Dr. Will Kirby, Rachel Reilly, and Derrick Levasseur were the finalists for fans’ favorite winners. And the fans picked BB10 winner Dan as their favorite.
Back to the Big Brother 28 season
New footage was picked up following the Veto Ceremony, where La Trice saved herself and Dee named Mallory the replacement nominee.
As a reminder, the nominees became Drew, Mallory, and Taylor.
Mallory was shown destroying a “Dee” pillow in the Have-Not Room. She had more to say, including calling Dee a “coward” and the “worst person ever born in the entire world.”
The icons wanted Mallory out, but would Dee, Devens, and Angela get what they wanted?
Barrett thought Taylor was the target. But every non-icon was feeling a vote flip coming.
“I feel really dumb because I never really trusted the Mosh Pit, but for some reason I put my life in the hands of Dee,” Mallory stated in the Diary Room.
Mallory also stated again that she lost the HOH Competition because she trusted Dee.
Julie kept pushing that upcoming twist. Is it even possible for the twist to live up to the buzz?
In more footage about the upcoming vote, a plan surfaced to flip the vote on the icons. Could Mallory find a way to survive being the target?
Who won the BB Blockbuster on Big Brother’s 1,000th episode?
The new BB Blockbuster Challenge had the three players watching historical clips. The objective was to decide which group of clips applied to written clues. The video below explains it better:
