Unfortunately, there may not be a reunion for The Challenge 42.
We hate to share bad news like this, but it looks like the current season may end with a whimper.
This would be the first time in years that a season goes without a reunion.
For years, fans have enjoyed watching the reunion show to learn more about each season.
Did grudges hold up? Have showmances continued after the season? What didn’t we see in the episodes?
Many questions could go unanswered this year.
Is there a reunion show for The Challenge 42?
“For the first time since The Inferno 3 (Season 14 – 19 years ago in 2007), there will be no reunion for The Challenge 42,” reads a new Instagram post from a fan site.
“It got too messy for production and they don’t want to deal with it 😂,” one fan responded.
“wtf…. Paramount you’re getting on my nerves 😒 and if it’s to avoid the triple DQ, that conversation needs to be had 🤷🏽♀️,” another fan noted.
Indeed, the season did get messy. One player left for a family emergency, and three more players were disqualified for breaking the show’s code of conduct.
Johnny Bananas also addressed a possible reunion. He recently revealed that nothing had been planned yet.
“I don’t think we’re doing a reunion this year, man. What the hell?” Bananas stated.
“This would have probably been the best reunion ever,” Bananas added. “Like, I’m really bummed.
Since Bananas is on the Challenge 42 cast, this is a pretty reliable source.
“The Challenge is slowly losing its charm and I hate that for the show,” someone commented on the video.
“Okay statements like this confuse cuz what specifically is the ‘charm’, this season has been pretty decent, it deserved a reunion but let’s not act like most reunions in recent years haven’t been total a**,” one person questioned.
“The drama, the fights, the hookups in addition to the physical athletic events. Just severely lacking most of those things now,” another person responded.
As of now, it sounds like there is no reunion for The Challenge 42. We will keep our ears open as the season wraps up on Paramount+.
