Survivor 51, Episode 5 debuted on Wednesday, October 21.
It was Day 10, soon after Jenna Doore’s final Tribal Council.
Previous footage made a big deal out of advantages.
As a reminder, Devin Way and Maggie Nestor each had an Extra Vote.
An intense Immunity Challenge on Survivor 51, Episode 5
Pastries were on the line. The winning tribe would get them.
Only one team could win Immunity. The other two tribes would head to Tribal Council.
Here’s a look at the tribes as the episode began:
Here are the three new tribes:
- Toka (Yellow) – Brady, Kristin, Carter, Maggie, Thien An, and Mike.
- Savu (Purple) – Ori, Alexis, Jelly, and Devin.
- Dina (Red) – Linnea, Christian, Sharonda, Lewis, Danny (Kilby), and Eric.
Toka took a huge lead in the water-based Immunity Challenge. They got stuck for a moment, but then finished it off easily. Maybe editing made it look closer? And it seemed REALLY fast.
Brady, Kristin, Carter, Maggie, Thien An, and Mike completely dominated. Reward and safety awaited them.
Everyone else had to prepare and debate about the upcoming Tribal Councils.
Will more women be voted off Survivor 51?
Lots of footage focused on Savu. Ori, Alexis, Jelly, and Devin were pressed about who they should vote out.
Jelly was sad about possibly voting out another woman. Thus far, only women have been voted out: Aaliyah, Ana, Patt, and Jenna.
Jelly pondered going after Devin.
Toka arrived at the reward and learned someone had to leave for a Journey. They had to skip the reward. Maggie went.
Maggie got parchment with a message. It was an Extra Vote alliance-builder. She had to travel to another tribe and give someone that Extra Vote. It would help her create a personal alliance.
Meanwhile, Dina chatted about votes. Danny Kilby and Lewis Kelly were in trouble. They needed a miracle to both survive, as the Dina Tribe had four former Savu members.
Later, Maggie went to Dina’s beach. She was ready to try to save Kilby and/or Lewis. Additionally, she had a plan.
In short, she gave one Extra Vote to Kilby and the other Extra Vote to Lewis. She told them they could force a tie, and then go to rocks and potentially both survive. But it also meant they could turn on each other.
Two Tribal Councils during the new Survivor 51 episode
Savu (Ori, Alexis, Jelly, and Devin) had the first Tribal Council. Only a mild debate was had.
Jeff Probst read the votes (in order): Alexis, Devin, Alexis, and Alexis. Another woman was voted out.
Alexis Levine became the sixth person out.
Shortly after, Dina (Linnea, Christian, Sharonda, Lewis, Danny (Kilby), and Eric) had their Tribal Council.
Kilby told people he had an Extra Vote. Was it a tactic? Was he going to turn on Lewis that quickly?
They voted with like 20 minutes left in the episode. Chaos was coming.
Jeff read the votes (in order): Lewis, Linnea, Lewis, Linnea, Lewis, Lewis, Linnea, and Linnea. It was a 4-4 tie.
A re-vote was coming.
Jeff read the new votes (in order): Linnea, Lewis, Linnea, Lewis, Linnea, Lewis, Linnea, and Lewis. It was another 4-4 tie.
The people who didn’t receive votes (Kilby, Sharonda, Eric, and Christian) had to debate between Linnea and Lewis. Could they come to a unanimous decision?
Kilby stood his ground. Sharonda, Eric, and Christian had to vote out Linnea or draw rocks.
Linnea Capobianco was voted out unanimously.
Two more women left the show during Episode 5.
