The wife of Big Brother winner and Survivor legend Rick Devens revealed she has cancer.
Becca Devens, who cheered online for Rick all summer, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She shared the difficult news in a joint video with Rick.
The couple remained upbeat in the video and asked for “good vibes and prayers” from their fans.

Becca and Rick said “hello” and introduced themselves as their video began.
“And we feel like politicians right now, but we just wanted to let you know some important news because it would be… it feels like it would be weird if we didn’t tell you before I like had to go have surgery,” Becca added. “So, um Rick won Big Brother.”
“That’s not the news, though,” Rick interjected.
“And then we came home, and I got diagnosed with breast cancer,” she added. “So, that sucks, but we caught it early because I do mammograms like a good girl, and I’m going to get a double mastectomy, and that’ll be fun. But because we got it early, we think that’s all we have to do, which is great.”
“If you guys just want to send some good vibes and prayers for that,” Becca noted. “That’s awesome.”
Later, Rick commented to fans who had responded.
“Thank you all for the love! Becca’s got this,” he posted. “Luckily she’s the tough one. Also, the funny, charming, smart, good looking one.”
Big Brother alums send messages of support
Many former houseguests have left messages of support.
“Oh my heart ❤️🩹❤️🩹 yall im so sorry but what a blessing that you caught it early and your honey is home with you now to take care of you!! Becca I’m praying the Lord’s healing hand all over you, praying your angels go before you and guide all doctors and surgeons, and that you have a peace only from Him – and for the rest of the family, prayers for strength and maintained faith in our God and for lots and lots of laughter for all – it is the best medicine!! Stay positive and playful and grateful and healing is yours ❤️ I love the Devens fam!!!!!! 🫂,” wrote BB19 alum Elena Davies.
“God blessed Rick recently and he’s about to bless you with a quick recovery. We love you Becca ♥️♥️♥️,” wrote Dee Valladares from Survivor 50 and Big Brother 28.
“Becca, you are such an amazing woman, strong with a beautiful heart. We are all wrapping our arms around you with love. Prayers for a speedy recovery and healing. 🙏🏻,” wrote Angela Murray from BB26 and BB28.
