Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars will air, but Carrie Ann Inaba will not be present at the judges’ table.
This marks the second time the long-running judge has missed something for the current season. She was noticeably absent from the big announcement on Good Morning America earlier this month.
Earlier today, Inaba said she would not make the season premiere because she was under the weather.
Details surrounding what is keeping her away haven’t been revealed. She is missing the Season 34 premiere, and that is a big deal.
There is plenty of star talent, and the show will go on without her, but it is different not to have her open the season after she has been a part of Dancing with the Stars for so long.
Hopefully, she will return next week as the season recovers. That way, the dancers have an extra week of practice under their belts.
Carrie Ann Inaba reveals illness
On Instagram, Carrie Ann Inaba announced she would not be a part of the Season 34 premiere of Dancing with the Stars.
She captioned her share, in part, “I wanted to share that I will not be at the show tonight as I am feeling quite under the weather. I’m resting up and can’t wait to be back next week in good health.”
Inaba also wished everyone the “very best of luck.”

The comment section quickly filled up with well-wishes from some of Carrie Ann Inaba’s friends and colleagues.
General Hospital’s Finola Hughes, the official Dancing with the Stars account, and fellow judge Derek Hough were spotted there offering support.
Inaba seems to expect she will be back next week, which is good news for viewers who tune in to see how she rates everyone early on in the competition. She is one of the more critical judges and is often booed when she shares her scores.
