Izzy Gleicher from Big Brother 25 doesn’t like Jag Bains. And she has again made that clear during the new season of The Amazing Race.
Jag and Izzy were on opposing alliances during BB25, with Izzy holding ill feelings toward Jag, even long after the season had ended. Then, they both ended up on The Amazing Race 38. Izzy was racing with her future wife, Paige Seber, and Jag was racing with his brother, Jas Bains.
As soon as the season began, Izzy was giving Jag the cold shoulder, openly ignoring him and his brother during the legs of the race. She was also shown making snide comments about him, indicating that she would never work with him on the race.
Things got worse during the most recent episode, with Jag and Jas getting to U-Turn a team. They chose Paige and Izzy, noting that they felt the women would never work with them. It did not go over well with Izzy.
Izzy gets Jag U-Turn on The Amazing Race
Tucker Des Lauriers and his brother got to the Double U-Turn first. They opted not to use it.
Natalie Negrotti and her sister got their second. They too opted to pass.
Jag and Jas got there, and Joseph Abdin and his brother soon joined them. They debated who to use the U-Turn on, and went with Izzy and Paige.
“We just U-Turned Izzy and Paige,” the brothers stated. They then called the women a strong team that would have U-Turned them if given the chance.
“Izzy and I were on the same season of Big Brother together. She voted me out of the house; I voted her out of the house. We were hoping maybe we could mend that relationship, but we can tell that, you know, they would rather work with those other teams than us,” Jag explained.
Joseph and his brother then used the U-Turn on Rubina Bernabe and her sister.
Later, Izzy and Paige came across the U-Turn board, and they were not pleased.
“Surprise. Jag and beeping Jas,” Izzy stated as Paige told them they had been U-Turned.
“All right, let’s go,” Paige stated as Izzy uttered, “What losers, you threatened little boys.”
Paige tried to calm Izzy down, stating, “Let’s get it together,” as Izzy angrily paced back and forth.
“I want to be a little angry right now,” Izzy responded.
She also had a moment that the producers had to blur.
Fans react to Izzy Gleicher villain arc
Many Big Brother fans and Amazing Race viewers reacted to the situation between Izzy Gleicher and Jag Bains. Most couldn’t understand why Izzy would act surprised that Jag would U-Turn her after the way she had treated him through the first four episodes.
“Izzy is still annoying #AmazingRace Shaded Jag, first. After saying she didn’t like him the first episode,” wrote one fan.
“Said she ‘hated’ him in first episode. Eating it now,” someone responded.
“Based on video evidence when exactly were Paige and Izzy nice to Jag and Jas?” a fan asked.
“They never have been nice to them,” someone responded.
“Can not stand Izzy on Amazing race. Show so class,” another viewer wrote.
“Classless. Can say she hates Jag, but supposedly playing a good game. Bitter to the core,” another viewer responded.
But not everyone is against Izzy. She has even gained some fans.
“I didn’t even like Izzy on her season of Big Brother but I’m loving her on Amazing Race. But I also just love when women hold a grudge,” someone wrote.
“The cultural impact that Izzy and Paige on The Amazing Race has on my life can not be overstated #TAR #TAR38 #TheAmazingRace #AmazingRace,” another fan wrote.
Despite the U-Turn, Izzy and Paige survived the leg.
New episodes of The Amazing Race Season 38 air Wednesday nights at 9:30/8:30c on CBS.
