Did Michael Rapaport go too far on The Traitors 4?

Michael Rapaport sure brought the drama to The Traitors 4. The self-professed “trash talker” really spiced things up through the first five episodes.

He might have become the most divisive player the show has seen. Some fans love his boisterous game playing. Others feel he crosses the line with his tactics.

Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, Michael’s road came to an end during Episode 5. After a tense roundtable where Colton Underwood went after him, the players Banished Michael from the castle.

Some of those players felt that Michael went too far when he responded to Colton’s accusations, which certainly turned some votes against Michael. But he had also been a target for a few episodes, so this was bubbling up already.

Michael Rapaport addresses his exit from The Traitors 4

Following his exit from The Traitors 4, Michael Rapaport shared an extensive Instagram post. Michael addressed what happened and attached a video of the dramatic Roundtable.

“BARS on BARS!!! I played a hard game, I played a real game & I had a fun time. Never wanted to offend anyone watching or the cast, Sincerely The Dopest Smartest Realest & Best Looking to ever walk in that castle ♥️💚🤍💙💜,” Michael wrote.

“It sucks but I felt backed into a corner and I tried to fight my way out of it. Maybe I fought too hard. I meant what I meant within the context of the game. It had nothing to do with his sexuality. I really sincerely apologize if I offended Colton or anybody in the house. That absolutely wasn’t my intention. I’m a fan of the game, I played hard, and I played a good game, except for when it went a little too far which sucks,” the veteran actor added.

Fan responses to Michael and Colton’s drama

Many online responses have been posted about the drama between Michael and Colton. Below are just a few of them.

“Michael Rapaport is a terrible person, but so is Colton TBH. While his sexuality isn’t a choice, it was a choice to stalk his ex Cassie #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUS,” wrote one X user.

“Colton deserved every bit of the lashings he got from Tiffany and Michael and if he goes after Lisa next week I hope she gives him the business too ! #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUS,” wrote a disgruntled fan.

“Michael Rapaport being a disgusting human being is shielding Colton from getting the whacks he deserves get both of them out of that castle #TraitorsUS,” posted another viewer.

“Of course Michael was referring to Colton’s time in the closet, to me it’s obvious. Why else would he single him out as someone particularly good at being secretive? There’s no other explanation. Stop defending bigotry. #TraitorsUS,” another viewer stated.

Additionally, many people also found it funny how Rob Rausch from Love Island reacted to Michael misusing a word.

“Michael: ‘COMMISERATING COLTON! COMMISERATING!!!’ Rob Rausch: *annoyed* ‘Commiseration means to feel sorry for someone. I’m sorry! That’s driving me nuts!’ Rob getting mad at vocabulary usage at the round table is lowkey hysterical #TheTraitorsUS #TheTraitors #TraitorsUS,” one fan wrote.
