Below Deck Down Under Season 4 jumped right into the drama. The first two episodes focused on a crossover with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
The new crew was put through the wringer, which was made worse by a stew quitting on the first day. Then, as the second episode was ending, it looked like the sous chef might also quit.
Bravo’s All-Star cast of BDDU didn’t last long together. Her grandfather’s hospitalization led Joe Caron to quit before the first charter. The crew understood, but they were still shorthanded.
Meanwhile, Chef Ben Robinson returned with his (unique) cooking styles and temperaments. He didn’t seem keen on having a sous chef who was untrained.
Sous Chef Alesia Harris returned to Below Deck Down Under after assisting Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph last season. Through two episodes, it has not gone well for Alesia.
Did Alesia Harris quit Below Deck Down Under?
The end of the second episode for the season had Alesia sitting down with Captain Jason Chambers. The sous chef had had enough and looked like she was ready to leave the boat.
Luckily, Bravo already dropped a sneak peek for Episode 3. It gives us a recap of what happened and what’s going to happen next.
“I’m doing my absolute best, and I can tolerate it for a certain amount of time,” Alesia told Captain Jason through tears.
“But it’s three days in, and I’m losing my head. I’m really sorry, but I’m waving the white flag, and I just can’t do it. Just like my fight or flight mode, it’s on all the time. And it’s genuinely, it’s genuinely like, it’s genuinely too much. Just everything is going wrong,” the sous chef elaborated.
We then see Ben talking to himself in the galley.
“You’ve spoken to Ben about this?” Captain Jason asked Alesia.
“He can’t change. It would be a better boat if you had someone that, well, had a better skill set than me,” Alesia added as she began crying.
Alesia added more during a confessional.
“I don’t want to let Jason down, but I’m actually just at the end of my tether,” the sous chef told the cameras.
The conversation continues, with Captain Jason helping Alesia talk things out. The result is that he convinces her to stick around by telling her that being understaffed has added to the stressors.
Captain Jason also spoke during a confessional, admitting he considers Alesia a friend and that he invited her back to give her a chance to shine.
A full sneak peek from Below Deck Down Under Season 4, Episode 3 is shared below. Will they survive dealing with the ladies from RHOSLC? Does Alesia survive the whole season? Stay tuned!
