Big Brother 26 cast members Matt Hardeman and Makensy Manbeck struck up a quick friendship last summer. They formed a tight alliance with Leah Peters, but the trio was on the wrong side of the numbers in the early going.
Though it appeared that Matt and Makensy were developing feelings for one another, the situationship was cut short when Matt was evicted on Day 10. He ended up becoming a target of the first Head of Household, Angela Murray, which led to his early departure.
Once Matt was home, he began admitting on social media that he had strong feelings for Makensy, suggesting that the spark for a relationship had already been ignited. That was later confirmed when the duo reunited on finale night, and their announcement of a relationship followed shortly after.
The BB26 cast yielded another successful showmance, following in the recent footsteps of America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger from BB25, Claire Rehfuss and Derek Xiao from BB23, and even Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder from BB11.
Are Matt and Makensy from Big Brother 26 still together?
In early May, Matt and Makensy celebrated the six-month anniversary of their relationship. Makensy shared a fun video where she set up a surprise for Matt.
“@matt_hardeman you bagged a keeper;) happy 6 months baby, love you <3,” she wrote on the Instagram post.
“Can’t believe it’s been 6 months The best surprise!!!” Matt wrote in the comment section.
Leah also weighed in, writing, “You’re so cute and thoughtful. Happy 6 Months!! 💖.”
Matt also shared some great new photos of the couple. They recently took a trip to Cancun, Mexico, where the BB26 showmance enjoyed quite an adventure.
“Mexico dump of same fav moments,” Matt wrote on his post.
Included with the social share were photos and videos of the happy couple spending time together.
Yes, Matt and Makensy are still going strong, and perhaps this could lead to them appearing during an episode of Big Brother 27.
More Big Brother is on the way at CBS
The Big Brother 27 episode schedule is out for this summer. July will be a busy month as the new cast debuts and the race to win the $750,000 prize begins. Special Friday night episodes are also included, where we will see players from the past popping in to discuss the current season. Maybe Matt and Makensy will be part of those special episodes?
