Becca Devens has a warning for Survivor and Big Brother fans.
Apparently, scammers are trying to take advantage of her announcement.
As recently reported on Tea on TV, Becca Devens revealed she has breast cancer.
She is the wife of BB28 winner and Survivor legend, Rick Devens.
Luckily, it sounds like it was caught early, and she is trying to stay positive.
Unfortunately, it also appears that people are trying to take advantage of the situation.
Becca Devens warns Big Brother and Survivor fans
“I do not have a go fund me,” Becca posted on Facebook. “They’re scamming you.”
It sounds like someone created a GoFundMe account in her name. That’s terrible news.
We have noticed an uptick in online accounts pretending to be reality TV stars to push products and stories. This is so much worse.
Many fans shared their reactions with Becca on her post.
“Is there anything that we CAN do for you? Meal train? Gift cards for dinner? I don’t know you, but I’m definitely praying for you and your family. Do you have a PO Box we can send a thinking of you card? People are awful, but there are good people that haven’t met you but definitely care! Keep your head up, we’re praying for you!” one person wrote.
“I mean this with my whole heart. Find someone local who truly needs money and just drop some cash money anonymously to them. That would give me the positive energy I need,” Becca responded.
What a kind soul Becca is! Rick is very lucky!
Becca updates her followers
Becca shared a new post on Friday to update her followers.
“Lots to update. But essentially I had a massive scare on my MRI (two actually), then more biopsies of said scares, both of which are BENIGN,” she wrote. “(Benign is good!).”
“Still have cancer in left breast but it doesn’t appear to have metastasized. Freaked me and my entire giant entourage out enough that I have appointments at Emory today because Sarah Tllnt is a BOSS BABE,” Becca added.
Within her message, she also shared how grateful she is that Rick is home. Becca also urges women to get tested.
“GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS PLEASE. Be like my friend Tonya Wilson and make your lazy friends with ADHD get them. SAVE YOUR BESTIES like Tonya saved me. I’m talking to you type A women with ditzy friends,” she wrote. “AND YOUNG LADIES DO NOT PUT OFF YOUR MAMMOGRAM BECAUSE YOU ARE BUSY.”
“Busy can wait. Cancer doesn’t,” Becca ended her update. “HAVE A GOOD DAY HALLELUJAH Byyyyeeeee.”
