Fraser Olener is no stranger to Below Deck drama. The chief stew brings it every season.
However, on Below Deck Season 12, Fraser experienced a personal first. He cheated on his boyfriend!
Fraser had a make-out session with deckhand Damo Yorg in the hot tub. Things got so steamy that the rest of the crew were hooting and hollering at them.
It wouldn’t be a bad thing if Fraser didn’t have a boyfriend, which he did until the next day. Fraser left the yacht to take a call from his boyfriend, only to come back and reveal they were dunzo.
Speaking with The Daily Dish, Fraser gave more insight into how he was feeling leading up to the break up.
“Do I really have a boyfriend? Yes. But seeing him five times a year? I don’t know if that classifies as something that’s going particularly well. I quickly realized that I’m very unhappy in our situationship,” he told the outlet.
Fraser’s words are pretty much what he said on the show about his relationship. Dating in the yachting world is hard, as Below Deck fans know from watching the show.
Damo is a little hottie, so we can’t blame Fraser for being into him. We have some thoughts on Fraser cheating, but as the chief stew said on the show, he does not consider it cheating.
“Do I think I’ve cheated? Absolutely not. It would not bother me if my boyfriend was to like make out with one of his straight male friends. If it was another gay man, I get it. It wouldn’t be cool,” he explained in his Below Deck confessional.
It should surprise no one that Fraser has no regrets about kissing Damo, even though he was in a relationship. Fraser told The Daily Dish it was all in good crew fun.
“Everything’s all super fun, and free, and jovial, and joking. None of it’s serious. We definitely let loose and have a good time, and we’re all adults and we can all do that in jest, and it’s not taken personally by anyone,” the Below Deck star dished.
Only five episodes into Below Deck Season 12, and the drama’s already on fire. Perhaps Fraser and Damo will have another hot tub make-out session before the season ends.
