Here we go! The Big Brother 28 cast has been selected and sequestered.
We’ve been looking forward to this announcement for months, and it comes with mere days left until the season premiere.
The first episode airs on Thursday, July 9. The bad news is that the Big Brother Live Feeds will be delayed.
But back to the good news. We have a BB28 cast, and they are ready to play the game!
The Big Brother 28 is sequestered – what does that mean?
The houseguests are staying in a hotel. Players were scooped up from their hometowns and taken to California. That’s where the game is played.
The term “sequestered” means they are kept in separate rooms and not allowed to interact with each other.
Players no longer have contact with friends and family, and are kept off the internet in preparation for the new season.
During this period, they are prepped for the game, ensured that they don’t enter the house sick, and given past seasons to watch at their leisure.
The producers have also selected BB28 cast alternates. These folks step in if something goes awry with the primary cast members. Sometimes, past drama will surface, or someone will break a rule that gets them removed from the game. That’s when an alternate steps in. We have had some pretty noteworthy alternates play the game in recent years.
Once sequester has ended, the BB28 cast is taken to the stage and then let into the house by host Julie Chen Moonves. That’s when the game really begins.
Someone is now one step closer to winning $750,000. America’s Favorite Houseguest is also in the mix.
