Big Brother 28 Fan Vote could really shake things up

A Big Brother 28 Fan Vote will provide an interesting wrinkle to the new season.

Having fan involvement is always risky, but it could also make the summer more exciting.

The episodes begin rolling out with the July 9 season premiere, and then it’s off to the races.

Social media is already inundated with rumors about the BB28 cast members. But we have no confirmations yet.

Instead, CBS dropped a press release about a new voting twist that could shake things up.

Big Brother 28 Fan Vote added

To entice (force) people to watch Big Brother: Unlocked, a new fan vote has been added. This is the companion show that airs Friday nights, where the hosts break down what is happening in the game.

Big Brother: Unlocked premieres on Friday, July 10. That’s the night after the BB28 season premiere. Doing this will force fans to watch both shows.

“The premiere episode launches a new interactive fan vote that will have a major impact on the game and kicks off the season’s live studio audience experience, a new addition that will continue throughout the summer,” reads a new statement.

Yes, Unlocked will have a live studio audience. Fans can attend and watch the hosts discuss and debate the season.

As previously reported by Tea on TV, Jerry O’Connell, Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur are the panelists.

Derrick won BB16, Taylor won BB24, and Jerry has served as a substitute host for Julie Chen Moonves. The trio knows their stuff.

On July 10, the trio will help host the first fan vote. We must wait for details on the vote itself. That’s unfortunate. But at least the season is about to begin.

As we continue waiting, enjoy the Instagram post below. BB27 runner-up Vince Panero and BB18 and BB19 runner-up Paul Abrahamian had some fun.

More news and notes from Big Brother

Here’s a link to the Big Brother 28 episode schedule. As a reminder, the season premiere drops on Thursday, July 9. Episodes will also stream on Paramount+.

The bad news is that the Big Brother Live Feeds will be delayed. To make the fan vote from Unlocked work, we have to wait for the feeds to be turned on. That’s extremely unfortunate.

Additionally, a Big Brother alum shared a cryptic post about a new season invite. They weren’t the only one to do it. But are these alums trolling the fans? They wouldn’t be the first ones to poke fun at the fans.
