Today is Day 8 of the Summer 2026 season, and we are closing in on our first eviction night.
Someone goes home during the July 16 episode, and the house is getting nervous about it.
Well, not everyone is nervous, but a lot is riding on the first BB Blockbuster Challenge of the summer.

Below is a breakdown of what has happened during Week 1 of Big Brother 28 (so far). Be ready for many spoilers.
- Dee Valladares is the Week 1 Head of Household.

- Dee nominated Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown, and Yash Patel for eviction.
- Barrett Pfeiffer and Melody Morris were selected to play in the Veto Competition.
- Dee, Mallory, Taylor, Yash, Barrett, and Melody played for the Power of Veto on Saturday (July 11).
- Mallory won the Power of Veto.
- Mallory used the Power of Veto to save herself from the block.
- Rome pushed for Haley to be the replacement nominee.
- Dee named Ashley Trail as the replacement nominee.
- The final nominees for the week are Taylor, Yash, and Ashley.
- Taylor, Yash, and Ashley will play in the BB Blockbuster Challenge on July 16. One player will be safe, and the other two face the first eviction vote.
More happenings in the Big Brother house
- The showmance between Rome Seymour and Lyric Medeiros continues. But it is wearing on other houseguests. The duo needs to be in power in Week 2 to escape the block.
- Jason De Puy made a plan with Drew Campbell to target Rick Devens and only pretend to work with Angela Murray. Drew then told Devens, Dee, and Angela. But Angela is having trouble believing him.
- Angela continues to spiral about Haley and Jason. Will she keep her cool or turn into chaotic Angela?
- Dee and Jason’s alliance is called Cafe Con Leche.
- Lyric and Melody’s alliance is called Hottie Harmonies.
- Mallory plans to target Dee if she can win the next HOH Competition. She’s still upset about being on the block.
- Yash is in danger of losing the eviction vote.
